FXall is a leading multi-dealer Foreign Exchange Trading platform, with over 200 Liquidity Providers and 2,300 Buy-side institutions.

We have commenced building the next generation of the platform, moving to a modern HTML5 GUI hosted in our strategic Workspace Desktop and rebuilding the venue using a microservice based architecture hosted in the cloud.

We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Principal DevOps Engineer to drive the evolution of our DevOps strategy and platform engineering capabilities.

Responsibilities

You will provide technical leadership and architectural guidance across engineering teams, shaping platform automation, CI/CD strategy, cloud infrastructure, and the reliability of all environments. Collaboration with your squad, partner teams, senior engineering leaders, and global architecture groups will be key to ensuring the platform’s performance and scalability.

Strategic & Leadership

• Provide architectural leadership across CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, observability, and tooling.

• Drive adoption of engineering standards and cloud governance across teams.

• Mentor senior and lead DevOps engineers, supporting their technical growth and development.

• Act as an escalation point for complex infrastructure and deployment challenges.

Engineering & Operational

• Leading cloud migration and modernization initiatives in Azure or comparable platforms.

• Overseeing secure and efficient container build and deployment processes, including Kubernetes and AKS.

• Improving monitoring, alerting, logging, and environment health checks.

• Driving root‑cause analysis and implementing long‑term improvements for system reliability.

• Evaluating and introducing tools or technologies that enhance delivery speed and operational stability.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in DevOps or platform engineering, including 3+ years in a leadership or principal‑level role.

• Experience designing and operating large‑scale cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS acceptable).

• Strong Linux background with advanced scripting and automation skills (Bash required; Python preferred).

• Deep experience with Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, and cluster‑level operations.

• Hands‑on experience building CI/CD workflows using GitLab, Jenkins, or similar tools.

• Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, Kafka, and SQL/cloud‑native data services.

• Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and influence architectural decisions.

• Experience collaborating with distributed, multi‑region agile teams.
