Manager, Price & Discount Strategy

As a Manager of Price & Discount Strategy, you will shape how millions of customers experience HelloFresh. In this role, you will lead the most impactful levers of our growth, with a specific focus on Special Initiatives and AI-driven optimization.

You will bridge the gap between high-level commercial strategy and cutting-edge automation. Your mission is to move our pricing from static playbooks to dynamic, data-intelligent systems. Typical challenges include:

• How do we incorporate GenAI into our internal workflows to identify and deploy the most effective price and discount levers for improving CLV?

• What "special bets" should we take on new incentive structures that haven't been tried before?

• How can we automate market-specific pricing insights to react faster than our competitors?

In this role, you will be part of the Global Price & Discount Strategy Team, shaping pricing and discount strategies across 16 countries where HelloFresh operates. You’ll work closely with stakeholders from multiple countries and teams such as Product, Marketing Analytics, and Paid Marketing — making it a unique opportunity to combine strategic thinking, analytical depth, and cross-functional execution.

What you’ll do

• Drive Strategic Initiatives: Lead high impact projects - such as launching new pricing models or new benefit types.

• Modernize Pricing with AI: Act as the lead Business Owner for AI initiatives, collaborating with Analytics and Product to adapt AI use cases within our pricing and discount strategies.

• Bridge Strategy & Tech: Translate complex business requirements into technical specs for our Product teams, ensuring our discount tools are both sophisticated and scalable.

• Run Advanced Experiments: Design and execute A/B tests, ensuring we are constantly learning and refining our pricing and discount approach.

• Own the Global Playbook: Maintain and evolve our "Special Initiatives" toolkit, ensuring that successful initiatives are seamlessly scaled.

What you’ll bring

• Education: Master’s / Bachelor’s degree in Business, Statistics, Economics or any related field

• Experience: 2–3 years in Strategy Consulting, Investment Banking, or a high-growth Tech environment.

• Domain Expertise: Experience in Pricing, Business Analytics, or Strategy areas are preferred.

• Analytical Rigor: Excellent data skills; proficiency in Excel, SQL, Tableau

• Tech Fluency: You are passionate about the intersection of business strategy and automation. You have experience or a deep interest in leveraging AI-based workflow tools to optimize internal processes and move our pricing from manual playbooks to automated, intelligent systems.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven experience working with diverse teams, including Product, Marketing, and Data Science, in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.

• Communication: Fluency in English with the ability to build the bridge between business needs and tech implications.
