Rhino + Jetty is making housing more affordable and accessible for millions of renters each year. We're the market-leading rental housing platform building simpler, more accessible ways for people to move into homes — and for property managers to lease with confidence.

Our technology removes friction from the move-in process, lowers upfront costs for renters, and helps property managers make faster, more accurate decisions. We support a network of 3 million rental units nationwide and work with 47 of the NMHC Top 100 property owners, including Greystar, Brookfield, Asset Living, UDR, and more.

We pioneered security deposit insurance and continue to push the industry forward with a growing suite of products — from deposit management to lease guarantees and loss-of-employment protection. We're growing quickly, tackling real problems at scale, and building technology that's changing how renting works.

The Role:

Build and scale a new revenue channel by embedding Rhino + Jetty's products — Security Deposit Insurance (SDI), Renters Guarantee (RG), and Loss of Employment coverage — natively in the proptech and fintech platforms that renters already use.

Rather than selling property by property, embedded partnerships create distribution at scale. Each partner unlocks an entire network of Property Management Companies (PMCs) and millions of renter touchpoints.

You'll own the full business development cycle: find partners, design the commercial model, close the deal, get the integration live, and drive revenue. You are directly accountable for growing the partner channel from zero to a multi-million dollar business in 2026 and beyond.

This is an individual contributor role reporting directly to the CRO. You must be a hunter and lead cross-functionally across Sales, Account Management, Product, and external partners.

What You'll Own:

Five live partnerships by end of Q3 2026. At least five embedded partnerships active and generating revenue, spanning multiple points in the renter lifecycle — screening, leasing, deposit decision, move-in, payments — across a mix of integration types.

Hit the Year 1 revenue target. Execute the pipeline with sufficient coverage, close on schedule, and actively manage partner performance post-launch.

100%+ YoY growth in Year 2. By end of 2026, the pipeline and signed agreements must support at least 100% year-over-year growth in 2027. The channel must compound.

A working GTM playbook by Q4 2026. A repeatable framework: partner qualification criteria, integration type selection, commercial model templates, launch checklist, performance benchmarks, and a partner success framework.

Measurable contribution to the broader GTM. Track and report how partner activity is sourcing new PMC logos for Business Development and driving expansion within existing accounts for Customer Success.

A live pipeline of qualified opportunities at all times. Structured stage progression, documented contacts, partner scorecards, revenue estimates, and realistic timelines — maintained continuously.

What We're Looking For:

You're a hunter. You've closed multi-stakeholder B2B deals where you're managing technical, legal, commercial, and executive conversations simultaneously. You know how to create urgency and move deals forward without someone handing you a playbook.

You can build and pitch commercial models. Referral structures, revenue share arrangements — you understand the mechanics and can design something that works for both sides of a partnership.

You've led cross-functional work without managing the people. Sales alignment, product prioritization, external partner coordination — you've driven outcomes across teams you don't control.

You have basic integration fluency. You understand how software integrations work well enough to scope partnership types (lightweight link-out vs. heavyweight data-passing), set realistic timelines, and have credible conversations with technical counterparts on both sides. You don't need to write code.

You're based in the NYC metro area and willing to represent Rhino + Jetty at proptech events in New York and beyond.

Background

5 years of B2B sales or business development experience

Experience in proptech, fintech, insurtech, or B2B2C SaaS strongly preferred

Track record of creating new business in ambiguous, early-stage environments — not just managing existing accounts

Has sold for companies that had to earn their credibility in a market, not rely on it

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary Range: $125,000 - $155,000 plus generous variable compensation 

Rhino + Jetty has partnered with a number of compensation benchmarking tools to determine competitive and fair market pay bands for our size and stage. Our goal is to ensure each employee is paid equitably and competitively while also maintaining a consistent and standardized methodology.

Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors including qualifications for the role, experience level and balancing internal equity relative to other teammates.
