Key Responsibilities:

5+ years of experience

1. EDMCS Design & Implementation

• Lead end-to-end design and build of Oracle EDMCS applications.
• Develop and manage:

o Application registrations (EPM, ERP, FCCS, EPBCS, PCMCS, On-Prem apps)

o Dimensions, hierarchies, metadata mappings

o Custom properties, property groups, and binding rules

o Views, viewpoints, node types, and node sets

• Configure and manage:

o Approval workflows

o Data validations

o Subscriptions (push model)

o Data transformation rules

• Design and implement metadata governance across multiple platforms.

2. Technical Development & Advanced Configuration

Metadata Integration & Automation

• Build and configure exports/imports using:

o EDMCS Extracts

o EDMCS Imports

o Flat file integrations

• Develop automated metadata pipelines with:

o EPM Automate

o OIC (Oracle Integration Cloud)

o REST APIs

 

REST API & Scripting Hands-On

• Strong hands-on experience with EDMCS REST APIs for:

o Import/export automation

o View/viewpoint operations

o Node creation/update/delete

o Workflow submission/execution

• Ability to write scripts using:

o Shell / PowerShell

o Python (optional but valuable)

o Groovy scripts (if integrated with Planning apps)

 

Complex Hierarchy Management

• Manage alternate hierarchies and shared nodes.
• Build derivation rules to automate data population.
• Handle large-scale metadata loads with error diagnostics.

3. Integration Expertise

EDMCS ↔ EPM Cloud

• Integrate EDMCS with:

o Planning (EPBCS/PBCS)

o FCCS

o PCMCS

o ARCS

o Custom EPM applications

 

EDMCS ↔ ERP Cloud

• Manage integrations with:

o Oracle ERP Cloud GL CoA

o HCM Cloud

o SCM Cloud

• Handle mappings, synchronizations, and change propagation.

OIC-Based Integrations (Optional but Preferred)

• Configure OIC connections for ERP/EPM/EDMCS.
• Build orchestration flows for metadata delivery.

4. Governance, Controls & Data Quality

• Implement robust governance frameworks:

o Request workflows

o Change tracking

o Audit trails

• Set up controls to maintain data consistency across systems.
• Define master data policies and governance procedures.

5. Documentation & Support

• Build detailed documentation:

o Design documents, mapping documents, governance guides

o Knowledge transfer materials

• Provide L2/L3 support for metadata issues.
• Conduct UAT cycles and end-user training sessions.

Core EDMCS Technical Expertise

• Strong hands-on experience in:

o Viewpoints, node types, node sets

o Custom properties & dynamic property binding

o Validations (expression-based validations)

o Hierarchy creation and maintenance

o Approval workflows and request orchestration

o Subscriptions for automated metadata synchronization

o EDMCS import/export configurations

• Deep knowledge of metadata for:

o Account, Entity, Product, Cost Center, Department, Project

o COA structures for ERP Cloud

Integration & Technical Automation

• Strong experience with:

o EDMCS REST APIs

o EPM Automate scripting

o Flat file-based or OIC-based metadata integrations

o JSON, XML transformations

• Good understanding of:

o EPM Cloud metadata structures

o ERP Cloud GL and CoA architecture

Functional Knowledge

• Understanding of financial planning & consolidation processes.
• Familiarity with EPM modules (PBCS, EPBCS, FCCS).
• Knowledge of ERP GL, subledger accounting, and organizational hierarchies.
