As part of our continued expansion, we are on the lookout for a Network Security Engineer (IC2-G4) to join our growing network operations team based in Manila, Philippines. 

This position will form part of an expanded global team and will focus on the 24/7 support of our DDoS, WAF and Firewall services designed to protect both our customer's environments and Continent 8 infrastructure.

The C8 global network spans North America, Europe and Asia enabling all of our Cloud, Network and Security products and services. Ensuring the operational integrity and availability of C8 infrastructure is vital to the success of our business and that of our customers.

The Role

As a Network Security Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Participating in the planning, configuration and support of the DoS mitigation platforms, firewall/ VPN devices and Web protection services.

Collaborate with the wider network team to implement security controls, defenses, and countermeasures to prevent internal and/or external attacks.

Making recommendations and providing technical guidance to solve business problems and improve service availability for customers.

Managing of planned maintenance and upgrade activities for DDoS mitigation platforms and firewall devices.

Escalation point for support teams in the resolution of customer service outages during DDoS attacks and other security events.

Participating in various technology

Creating and maintaining current documentation/ Wiki

Working closely with our software teams in defining the tools that enable security infrastructure scaling at volume.

Developing ways to automate common operational & repeatable build

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience Required

Required 3-5 years of experience working in a network position or related to operations 

Experience with DDoS platforms, firewalls and other Intrusion Detection and prevention systems is a must.

Extensive knowledge of IP Networking infrastructure and protocols used in large international service provider networks.

Experience in packet decoding and analysis during attack

Solid understanding of Zero Trust Network Access

Experience and practical knowledge of automation practices using Ansible playbook and Python programming is a bonus.

Familiar with Networking Monitoring and Management

Excellent organizational and communication skills particularly in a customer-facing

Strong technical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure during security events.

Industry-recognized certifications such as CCNA/P, JNCIA/P.
