Job Description

We are hiring a Manager – Sales (Automotive Sector) based in India, with dual reporting to:

• General Manager Automotive (UAE), and

• Sales Director (Mumbai, India)

The role focuses on driving accessories/automotive parts sales, identifying new market opportunities, generating leads, managing the sales pipeline, and ensuring consistent follow-ups and client engagement. This is a hands-on, “ground running” role for someone who enjoys field sales, prospecting, and building relationships with OEMs and automotive stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Sales Strategy & Growth: Develop and execute sales strategies to grow accessories/parts business and expand the customer base in India.

• Market Opportunity Identification: Research and identify new market opportunities for automotive products/services, with strong focus on OEMs and key stakeholders.

• Lead Generation & Prospecting: Drive cold calling, networking, and prospecting to build a strong pipeline; maintain and grow a qualified lead database.

• Pipeline & Follow-up Management: Ensure systematic follow-up with prospects and customers; nurture leads through the pipeline to closure.

• Client Engagement & Coordination: Build relationships, understand client requirements, coordinate meetings/events/presentations, and keep stakeholders updated on progress.

• CRM & Client Data Management: Maintain accurate activity logs, communication records, and opportunity status in CRM; ensure timely updates and next actions.

• Sales Reporting & Forecasting: Provide regular updates on pipeline, conversion, sales vs. plan, market pricing, trends, and competitor insights; support annual budgeting.

• Product Promotion Support: Support marketing/promotional activities (trade shows, client events, presentations) to promote products.

• Cross-functional Collaboration: Coordinate with internal teams (marketing, engineering, operations) to ensure smooth delivery and effective communication of client feedback.

• Customer Support: Handle client inquiries and coordinate timely solutions with GM/DGM and internal teams.

• Travel: Extensive travel across India; regular travel to UAE/Dubai as required.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (preferred)

• MBA (Sales/Marketing/Business Development) is a plus

Experience

• 5–7 years in automotive accessories and/or parts sales / business development (B2B)

• Experience preferably with multi-national OEM / Tier-1 ecosystem

• Proven experience in:

• lead generation & prospecting

• client follow-ups and relationship management

• pipeline management and forecasting

• sales coordination and reporting

Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of the full sales cycle (lead → opportunity → closing)

• Excellent communication (verbal + written) and client-facing skills

• Strong organization and time management (multi-tasking + deadlines)

• Problem-solving mindset; professional handling of client issues

• Proactive, autonomous, energetic approach with strong ownership

• Strong attention to detail with accurate CRM/data tracking

• Team player; comfortable supporting and collaborating with multiple stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong understanding of India automotive market dynamics (OEMs, importers, key regional clusters)

• Experience using CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar)

• Base location: India

• Travel: extensive within India + regular travel to UAE/Dubai

• Dual reporting line: GM Automotive UAE + Sales Director India (Mumbai)
