About Redwood Materials

Redwood is localizing a global battery supply chain that seamlessly integrates recovery, reuse, and recycling — keeping critical minerals in circulation and driving the energy transition. Founded in 2019, we’re delivering low-cost and large-scale energy storage and producing battery materials in the U.S. for the first time, all from batteries we already have.

Manager, Inventory Control

The Manager of Inventory Control owns enterprise-wide inventory governance and accuracy across Redwood Materials’ sites. This leader directs and develops a high-performing team of supervisors and specialists to maintain precise inventory records, minimize waste, and ensure synchronized material flow with production plans. The role establishes policies and standards, drives continuous improvement through Lean and data driven insights, and partners cross functionally (Procurement, Production, Logistics, Finance, and IT) to optimize systems, controls, and reporting. The manager communicates performance and risk to senior leadership, ensures compliance with company and regulatory requirements, and scales practices to support growth and sustainability objectives.

Responsibilities will include:

• Maintain accurate inventory records in Oracle WMS, ensuring timely updates for all movements and adjustments to minimize discrepancies.

• Own the end-to-end inventory control function, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and real-time visibility of inventory across all facilities.

• Lead and inspire a high-performing inventory control team, setting clear goals and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

• Mentor team members to build technical expertise and leadership capabilities, ensuring succession readiness.

• Drive strategic initiatives to optimize inventory processes, reduce waste, and improve efficiency.

• Champion automation and digital transformation opportunities to enhance inventory accuracy and operational agility.

• Leverage advanced analytics to monitor inventory trends, forecast needs, and proactively mitigate risks. Deliver actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership to support business planning and operational excellence.

• Collaborate closely with procurement, production, logistics, and finance teams to align inventory strategies with production schedules and customer demand. Serve as a key liaison for inventory-related initiatives impacting supply chain performance and sustainability goals.

• Ensure adherence to Redwood Materials’ inventory management standards and regulatory requirements. Establish and maintain rigorous audit controls to safeguard inventory integrity.

• Oversee inventory management systems and partner with IT to enhance functionality and reporting capabilities. · Lead system improvement projects, ensuring scalability and alignment with enterprise resource planning (ERP) strategies.

• Proactively identify root causes of inventory discrepancies and implement sustainable corrective actions. Drive a culture of problem-solving and innovation to continuously elevate inventory control performance.

• Provide comprehensive reporting on inventory accuracy, KPIs, and risk assessments to senior leadership. Translate complex data into clear, strategic insights for decision-making.

• All other duties as assigned

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in inventory management systems, ERP platforms, and advanced Excel.

• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies preferred.

• Familiarity with WMS and data visualization tools is a plus.

• Exceptional communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
