Licence Manager

Content of the function is the coordination and steering of topics and projects in the area of „SW Asset Management (SAM) & Target Licensing“ in „Supplier & License Management“ (SLM) with the following tasks:

• Tool based managing of external customer or Deutsche Telekom internal licenses
• Monitoring and reporting of license usage, license demand and license pools
• Optimization of license usage and license costs (Target Licensing)
• License consulting
• Data quality gate -> recommendation for platform decisions based on licensing impacts
• Software Supplier-Management
• "Internal charging of licenses 
• Very good knowledge in license metrics and license policies of strategic relevant software suppliers
• Very good knowledge of relevant Software Asset Management Tools (i.e. Flexera, USU, Raynet) and the creation of license balances / license reports
• Very good knowledge of Software Asset Management (Processes, Content)
• Very good Project Management skills
• Experience in the collaboration with international / crossfunctional teams and agile tools and methods"
• Contract Know How

• Knowledge of Cloud Licensing Models : Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform) – understanding SaaS/PaaS licensing strategies and cost optimization
• Supporting or leading negotiations with software suppliers, understanding legal terms, renewals, and licensing agreements
• Familiarity with ITIL processes or ISO/IEC 19770 standards relevant to IT asset management
• Automation and Scripting Knowledge - PowerShell, Python – to support data extraction, license analysis, and reporting automation
• Understanding of how software assets align with enterprise architecture for better planning and cost control
• Ability to drive license-related change initiatives and influence various stakeholders across business and IT

Language skills: German (B2) and English (B2)
