Hiring Unit:
Professor Ivan Topisirovic's Lab - Department of Biochemistry
Position Summary:
As a Lab Helper B in Topisirovic's Lab you will:
• Assists in performing laboratory tests and experiments. All experiments will be under the supervision of a PhD student.
• Maintain cells in cell culture.
• Do weekly lab duties on rotations such as fill pipette tip boxes, clean sink area etc.
• Maintains lab work area in a clean and orderly fashion.
• Maintains an up-to-date lab book with details of experiments.
• Contract period: From May 4, 2026, to July 31, 2026.
Education & Experience:
• High School diploma in a related discipline or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
• Having relevant experience and/or previous experience working in the Topisirovic Lab is beneficial for this role.
Knowledge of French and English:
• McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing.
• The level of English required for this position has been assessed at a level #3 (qualifier) on a scale of 0-4.
