Junior Machine Learning Engineer

WHAT YOU’LL DO 

As a Junior Machine Learning Engineer, you will grow your technical skills by working hands-on with real-world data and production systems. You won’t be expected to have all the answers from day one; instead, you will: 

• Work with AI/ML initiatives by writing clean, maintainable code, and assisting with model implementation. 
• Collaborate and learn by pairing with other ML Engineers and Data Scientists to translate business requirements into production-ready software. 
• Build and maintain ML pipelines and components following engineering best practices. 
• Monitor and debug deployed systems to ensure they remain reliable and efficient, using this as an opportunity to learn how ML operates at scale. 
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions to improve your understanding of system design and engineering standards. 

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH 

You’ll work closely with a supportive cross-functional team of Machine Learning Engineers, Data Scientists, Solution Architects, and Product Owners. You will have access to mentorship and guidance to help you build AI-powered products. 

WHO YOU ARE 

We prioritize potential and curiosity. You don't need years of professional ML experience, but you do need a strong technical foundation. We welcome applications from recent graduates as well as Software Developers, Infrastructure Engineers, or Backend Engineers who are eager to pivot their career into Machine Learning. 

We are looking for people with… 

• Strong coding fundamentals: You are comfortable writing code in Python and have a desire to write clean, efficient, and maintainable software. 
• Academic or project exposure to ML: You have used frameworks like scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch in university projects, hackathons, or personal passion projects. 
• Data handling skills: You are comfortable working with data using SQL and libraries like Pandas to explore and prepare datasets. 
• Familiarity with software basics: You understand the basics of version control (Git), code reviews, and writing tests. 
• Problem-solving mindset: You enjoy breaking down technical problems and are not afraid to ask questions when you get stuck. 

Also preferred (but not required) if you have: 

• Exposure to Cloud platforms: Familiarity with cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or GCP. 
• Modern data stack knowledge: Experience with or interest in data transformation tools like dbt. 
• Interest in MLOps: You are eager to learn how to deploy, monitor, and support models in a production environment.
