Job Description
About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and organized fresh graduate to join our IT team as a Junior IT Operations & M365 Administrator. This is an entry-level role designed for someone eager to build a career in IT operations and cloud administration. You don’t need to know everything on day one — what matters is your willingness to learn, your attention to detail, and your ability to stay on top of multiple tasks.
You will work directly under the CIO, who will mentor and train you across IT procurement, device logistics, asset management, and Microsoft 365 administration. Over time, you will take ownership of these areas and become the operational backbone of the IT function.
What You’ll Learn and Do
IT Issue Resolution
Monitor and respond to IT requests logged in our ticketing system, resolving issues within scope and escalating appropriately.
Address common end-user IT issues including account access, MFA, mailbox and email security concerns, and permission-related requests.
IT Procurement & Device Logistics
Learn how to evaluate and compare IT devices (laptops, peripherals, accessories) based on specs, budget, and organizational needs.
Assist in placing purchase orders and coordinating with vendors and procurement channels.
Track and follow up on device orders to ensure timely delivery.
Coordinate device shipments to new hires and remote employees via courier services, including physically visiting our logistics partner to arrange pickups, drop-offs, and shipments as needed.
Learn how to stage, configure, and prepare devices for deployment (imaging, software installation, initial setup). Devices in our environment include both Windows and macOS.
Handle the return, reset, and redeployment of devices from offboarded or transitioning employees, across both Windows and macOS.
IT Asset Management
Maintain and update the IT asset inventory, tracking device assignments, status, warranties, and lifecycle stages.
Learn to document asset movements accurately (issued, returned, decommissioned).
Flag devices that are due for replacement, repair, or warranty claims.
Microsoft 365 Administration (with Training)
Learn to manage user accounts in Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD): creation, license assignment, group membership, and offboarding.
Assist in administering security policies such as Conditional Access, MFA, and password policies.
Create and manage distribution lists and shared mailboxes as requested.
Fulfill M365 provisioning requests such as the creation of groups, SharePoint sites, and similar collaboration resources as needed.
Learn the basics of Microsoft Intune for endpoint enrollment and compliance.
Help monitor the organization’s Microsoft Secure Score and implement recommended actions under guidance.
Assist with email security configurations and review of security alerts.
Automation & Scripting
Learn and support existing automation workflows, including scripts running in a Linux environment.
Contribute to expanding automation coverage over time as skills develop.
Administrative & Reporting
Prepare documentation for completed device deliveries to support payment requests and financial reconciliation.
Help generate reports using built-in tools across the platforms we use, as well as ad hoc reports in Excel when raw data requires further analysis.
Maintain organized records of vendor contacts, warranties, and service agreements.
Support the CIO with various IT operations tasks as needed.
IT Project Participation
Assist with internal IT projects and initiatives as needed, including research, testing, and documentation.
Contribute observations and ideas from day-to-day operations to help improve IT processes and tools.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (fresh graduates are welcome).
Basic understanding of IT concepts — hardware, networking fundamentals, and operating systems (Windows and Linux). More Linux hands-on experience is a strong advantage, particularly in scripting (Bash) and basic Python.
Familiarity with Microsoft 365 apps (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint) as a user.
Comfortable working with Excel for data organization and building basic reports.
Familiarity with IT ticketing systems — this is a daily tool in our environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Good documentation skills — comfortable creating and maintaining records, reports, trackers, and process documentation in a clear and organized manner.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, follow through on action items, and meet deadlines.
Good written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with vendors, couriers, and internal teams.
A proactive attitude and genuine willingness to learn.
Must be based in or near Lipa, Batangas. This is a fully on-site role.
Actively uses AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, Claude) as a productivity assistant across tasks — from drafting documentation to researching solutions and generating configurations — while applying critical judgment to verify and validate AI outputs before acting on or publishing them.
Nice to Have (Not Required)
Any Microsoft certification or coursework (e.g., MS-900: Microsoft 365 Fundamentals, SC-900: Security Fundamentals).
Internship or academic project experience involving IT operations, systems administration, or IT issue resolution.
Basic familiarity with cloud concepts or Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD.
macOS experience (for managing macOS devices in a mixed-device environment).
Familiarity with virtualization tools such as VirtualBox or Proxmox.
Exposure to workflow automation tools (e.g., Power Automate).
What We’ll Provide
Hands-on training across IT operations, procurement, asset management, and M365 security administration.
Direct mentorship from the CIO — you’ll learn how IT strategy connects to day-to-day operations.
Learning & development support — we’ll support your professional growth through curated training resources and Microsoft certification opportunities.
Real ownership — as you grow, you’ll take full ownership of the areas you’ve been trained in rather than staying in an assistant role indefinitely.
