Junior Creative Automation Designer

JOB PURPOSE

This role is part of our Technology business unit based in Croatia. Our offices are home to a diverse and talented team of people across various disciplines. We combine our skills in developing future-ready technical solutions with our expertise in creating beautiful designs to deliver exceptional and engaging digital experiences that build lasting relationships with our clients like Microsoft, Samsung, Panasonic, JBL, Adidas and About you.

This role is dedicated exclusively to Creative Automation—using technology to produce creative assets at scale. As a recent graduate or somebody in the early stages of your creative career, you will be designing and building automatable templates in a variety of creative software, including Adobe After Effects, Smartly and Figma.

Having the right attitude is everything—as a junior, we’d like someone who enjoys learning new things and has an appetite for knowledge. We will provide all the training you need, and as such you don’t necessarily need past experience in Creative Automation itself, but you need to be naturally curious, technically-minded and eager to experiment.

We’re looking for candidates who never shy away from a challenge, are excited to help find new and novel solutions to creative problems and who, most importantly, enjoy the more technical side of motion design and animation.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Design and build reusable creative automation templates in Adobe After Effects, Smartly and Figma.

• Help solve creative challenges and automation with novel and clever solutions.

• Use our proprietary Adobe After Effects extension and Figma plugin, Lightspeed, to design and build creative automation templates.

• Take pride in your work and have excellent project file ‘housekeeping’ skills—name your layers!

• Suggest ways to improve and enhance our processes.

• Be an ambassador of the entire creative automation discipline and department.

WHAT YOU BRING:

Design & Technical

• Experience in the motion design and animation industry or similar demonstrable experience.

• A good working knowledge of Adobe After Effects and Figma.

• Beginner level ability in writing and using expressions in Adobe After Effects.

• A good understanding of the core features of Figma, including components, instances and variables.

Attitude & Personality

• Proactive and self-motivated with strong initiative.

• Dependable and reliable.

• Eager to learn and develop new and existing skills.

• Meticulous attention to detail.

• Independent and confident, but works well with others.

• Process-driven and a great communicator.

• Experience working with Smartly or Celtra.

• Higher education in a relevant creative field.
