Introduction
Are you in the early stages of your finance career and eager to grow in a dynamic, international team? Vanderlande is looking for a Junior Business Controller who is passionate about finance controlling, automation, and continuous improvement.
You will join our EMEA Project & Service Control team, a highly collaborative group that oversees the financial performance of large-scale projects and service contracts across Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America. This is a unique opportunity to build your skills in a multinational setting while contributing to financial excellence and continuous improvement across our domains: Airports, Warehousing, and Distribution.
This role is based in our Veghel headquarters (NL), with a hybrid team spanning London, Barcelona, Mönchengladbach and Paris.
What will you be doing?
As a Junior Business Controller, you will support the team in key financial processes and be empowered to take initiative, learn continuously, and grow into a full Business Controller role over time.
Your main tasks include:
• Assisting in the preparation, analysis, and reporting of financial data for projects and service contracts.
• Supporting monthly forecasting processes, identifying deviations, and helping explain performance drivers.
• Collaborating with Controllers and Project Managers to track cost and revenue performance.
• Participating in initiatives to automate and streamline financial processes.
• Using tools like Excel, Power BI, and other data platforms to drive insights and efficiencies.
• Contributing to continuous improvement and helping implement smarter ways of working.
• Supporting compliance with internal controls and finance policies.
• Participating in financial review meetings and building strong relationships with business stakeholders.
• Learning and growing into responsibility for assigned project and service portfolios.

Skills & Qualifications
Must-Haves
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Economics, or a related field
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in a finance, business control, or FP&A role.
• Understanding of accounting principles
• Strong knowledge of Excel, with experience in data analysis
• Exposure to Power BI or other dashboarding/visualization tools
• A strong interest in automation, technology, and process improvement
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Analytical mindset and eagerness to learn
• Fluent in English
Nice-to-Have
• Experience in a multinational or project-based environment
• Interpersonal skills, stakeholder engagement.

This position offers a competitive salary range of € 4420 to € 5250 gross per month (excluding 8% holiday allowance). Through exceeding performance expectations, you even have the possibility to grow outside this scale.
