Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Jira Administrator to support and optimize our Atlassian ecosystem. This role is responsible for the administration, configuration, enhancement, and ongoing support of Jira and related collaboration tools to enable effective project management, agile delivery, and workflow automation across the organization. The ideal candidate will partner closely with technology teams, project managers, and business stakeholders to ensure tools are configured for scalability, reporting visibility, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Jira Administration & Platform Support
Configure and maintain Jira projects, workflows, issue types, screens, fields, permissions, and notifications
Manage users, groups, and access controls
Monitor system health, performance, and availability
Troubleshoot and resolve platform-related issues
Support upgrades, maintenance, and security best practices
Assist with Jira Server/Data Center to Cloud migration efforts, as needed
Customization & Optimization
Design custom workflows, dashboards, automation rules, and reports
Support and manage third-party plugins and integrations
Integrate Jira with enterprise tools and CI/CD pipelines
Continuously improve platform performance and usability
User Support & Enablement
Provide Tier 2/3 support for Jira-related requests and incidents
Develop documentation, training materials, and best practice guides
Serve as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders
Reporting & Data Management
Ensure data integrity and system reliability
Build dashboards and executive-level reporting views
Support data migration, cleanup, and validation activities
Experience
3+ years of hands-on Jira administration experience (Server, Data Center, or Cloud environments)
Experience supporting Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and hybrid methodologies
Proven ability to configure Jira for both technical and business teams
Technical Skills
Strong Jira administration expertise
Experience with Confluence administration
Proficiency with JQL and automation/scripting concepts
Familiarity with REST APIs and system integrations
Working knowledge of Linux environments
Experience supporting Jira add-ons and plugins
Professional Skills
Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
