Java Software Engineer - Low Latency Infrastucture

We are seeking an exceptional Software Engineer to join our team building low latency, high-throughput infrastructure for algorithmic trading.

Our engineers tackle some of the most complex challenges in the industry: low-level performance optimization, distributed systems, messaging formats, transport protocols, and more. The systems you help design and implement will trade billions of dollars daily and play a direct role in the Firm’s success.

About You

You are a highly motivated engineer and strong team player who takes full ownership of projects from design through production support. You understand that responsibility doesn’t end when code is merged, and you care deeply about building resilient, production-ready systems. You are passionate about computer science, performance engineering, and solving hard problems at scale. If the idea of removing an I/O bottleneck for a 10x speedup or designing APIs other engineers will rely on excites you, this role is a great fit.

Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and optimize high-performance infrastructure for real-time trading
• Take complete ownership of projects, from design to production deployment
• Troubleshoot, analyze, and improve system stability and performance in production
• Collaborate closely with Algo Trading and infrastructure teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions

Requirements:
• Extensive hands-on experience with Java and related technologies (e.g. JPA)
• Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals: algorithms, data structures, system design
• Experience with multithreading, distributed systems, and high-performance computing
• Interest in low-level systems concepts: OS internals, networking, CPU architecture
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, production-critical environment
