IT Automation Engineer (Hybrid, Bangalore)

Smartsheet is looking for an experienced IT Automation Engineer to drive automation initiatives, streamline operations, and influence infrastructure decisions. With thousands of employees and complex enterprise systems there is lots of opportunity to make a meaningful impact and reduce manual effort through intelligent automation within Smartsheet. You are curious, have strong scripting and systems integration skills and the ability to communicate technical solutions effectively. You will work primarily with IT and Security teams and will be a part of Smartsheet's IT Operations team.

You Will:

• Identify repetitive Tier 1 tasks and leverage scripting and workflow tools to fully automate them, streamlining operations and driving key performance metrics such as ticket resolution time and automation coverage.

• Develop and deploy Freshservice orchestrations integrated with core systems like AD, M365, and Jamf using APIs.

• Write and maintain robust PowerShell and Python scripts for endpoint management and service maintenance tasks.

• Track the success rates of deployed automations, document new workflows, and continuously optimize processes for efficiency.

You Have:

• 3+ years of IT or DevOps experience with a strong focus on scripting and system integration.

• Strong grasp of ITSM processes and experience working with APIs for integration.

• Proven automation portfolio using tools like Freshservice Workflow Automator, Power Automate, or RPA platforms.

• Experience with tools like PowerShell, Python, Intune, and Active Directory.

• Analytical mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and discipline in technical documentation.
