Internships @ Wealthsimple
At Wealthsimple, we offer 4 to 8-month internships that are open to co-op and non-co-op students, and recent grads. During your internship, you will have the opportunity to contribute to projects that are changing the landscape of financial services for Canadians. You will be on a team that supports your growth, provides mentorship, and connects you to the broader Wealthsimple community!

Our internship program follows a hybrid work model, where you’ll be working from our Toronto headquarters on Wednesdays and Thursdays. This structure offers the flexibility of remote work, while also providing the collaboration, connection, and mentorship that come from being together in person.

Eligibility
✔ Currently enrolled as a student at a Canadian post-secondary institution or technical bootcamp
✔ New graduates - Within 6 months of your graduation date
✔ Available to work full-time hours
✔ Residing in Canada
✔ Able to commute to our Toronto HQ on Wednesdays and Thursdays

About the role:
We’re hiring a Growth Marketing Intern for an 8-month internship to support Wealthsimple’s incentives and promotions.

This role sits at the intersection of marketing, technology, and creative problem solving. You’ll help plan, build, and launch end-to-end lifecycle marketing campaigns across Wealthsimple’s ecosystem — from ideation through execution.

The ideal candidate thinks “client-first,” enjoys tackling open-ended problems, and is excited to learn how technical and creative elements come together to drive client and net-deposit growth. You’ll join a multidisciplinary Growth organization and collaborate closely with partners across Product, Engineering, Design, Data Science, and Communications.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to::
• Develop, build, and ship lifecycle marketing campaigns across email, push notifications, and in-app messaging
• Support the automation and operationalization of communications for teams across Wealthsimple
• Collaborate with growth marketers, product teams, and designers to build multi-channel client journeys
• Ideate and experiment on strategies to drive activation, engagement, retention, and participation in incentives and promotions
• Analyze campaign performance and help communicate key insights and learnings
• Build segmentation logic and personalized messaging using dynamic content
• Support A/B testing efforts to improve client experience and campaign outcomes

What you'll bring::
• Is curious, resourceful, and eager to experiment with new ways of workingIs excited to learn about lifecycle marketing, client journeys, and growth strategy
• Has familiarity with AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Claude) to generate ideas, improve workflows, and solve problems
• Can balance multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail
• Naturally collaborative and empathetic — both with colleagues and on behalf of clients
• Is comfortable learning new tools and adapting to fast-changing workflows
• Has strong organizational skills and a proactive mindset
• Additional qualifications valued for this role (though not necessary) include fundamental to intermediate coding experience (specifically in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Liquid) and experience with CRM tools like Braze and Taxi for Email

Compensation & Equity
🤑 Base salary range: For this role, candidates can expect the following base salary range:
• Term 1 students: CAD $42,000 - $44,000
• Term 2 students: CAD $44,000 - $46,000
• Term 3 students: CAD $46,000 - $48,000
• Term 4 students: CAD $48,000 - $50,000
• Term 5 students: CAD $49,000 - $52,000
Your current year of study and number of past internship terms will determine your salary band. Actual compensation within each band is based on skills, experience, and academic performance. Exceptional candidates may be considered above the top of their year's range. 🚀
