About the job

The Innovation lead- Medical Tower is a leadership role responsible for benchmarking and assessing capabilities, and overseeing implementation of digital initiatives specifically within Sanofi's Medical Tower functions. This position plays a critical role in accelerating value creation by leveraging cutting-edge AI and automation technologies to transform content creation for medical, HEVA, and Market Access, functions. The role requires a dynamic leader who can navigate the rapidly evolving landscape of artificial intelligence and automation while ensuring strict compliance with regulations to deliver breakthrough solutions that accelerate our submissions and optimize medical communications, ultimately improving engagement outcomes.

Main Responsibilities

Digital Innovation & AI Enablement

• Lead the Digital Medical Tower roadmap, including AI-enabled insights, data products, and advanced digital capabilities.

• Govern the lifecycle of new solutions from pilot to scale and industrialization.

• Appraise industry initiatives and establish benchmarks for adoption and performance.

Execution & Governance

• Collaborate with senior stakeholders across matrixed structures to align solutions with business objectives and build long-term partnerships.

• Ensure robust project management and governance for digital innovation initiatives.

• Provide senior leadership with actionable insights and progress reporting.

Diagnostic & Gap Analysis

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of processes, workflows, and technology ecosystems.

• Identify inefficiencies, redundancies, and opportunities for automation or digitization.

• Apply maturity models and benchmarking frameworks to position the organization against industry standards.

Value Case Development

• Translate findings into actionable business cases with quantified benefits (cost savings, productivity gains, compliance improvements).

• Define North Star metrics and supporting KPIs, including baselines and target values.

• Develop benchmark comparisons (internal vs. external) to set realistic performance goals.

Recommendation & Roadmap

• Propose practical, high-impact changes—such as process redesign, tool optimization, or new digital solutions.

• Create phased implementation roadmaps with measurable milestones and risk mitigation strategies.

Implementation Oversight

• Partner with digital teams and vendors during execution to ensure alignment with business objectives.

• Monitor progress against the roadmap, escalate risks, and validate readiness for go-live.

• Support change management through stakeholder engagement.

KPI Tracking & Benchmarking

• Instrument KPIs into dashboards and reporting systems (Power BI/Tableau).

• Track adoption, efficiency, and ROI against baselines and industry benchmarks.

• Produce executive scorecards for quarterly reviews, highlighting wins, gaps, and next steps.

About you

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field, (MBA preferred).

Experience:

• 3–5+ of experience in digital strategy, guiding organizations through digital enablement journeys.

• Experience with delivery of new tools, technologies, and solutions (e.g., AI, automation, digital platforms) to boost business performance.

• Experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare industry is preferred.

• Track record of driving visible impact—from diagnostics and benchmarking, through to roadmap and scaling execution.

Technical & Analytical Capabilities

• Business Case & ROI Modelling.

• Experience building value propositions, cost-benefit analyses, and strategic business cases for digital initiatives.

• Strong aptitude in assessing data, and delivering data driven insights in communications and presentations.

Communication and Leadership Skills

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to lead stakeholder interaction, workshops, and executive-level briefings.

• Excellent knowledge of the English language (spoken and written).
