Overview of Role
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Native Solution Architect to join our team. This senior individual will be responsible for the design and development of cloud native architectures. Working with application owners, developers and IT operations teams to provide scalable, secure platforms in both Azure and AWS.
Key Role Responsibilities
You will be an SME in cloud and cloud native technologies with a DevOps / Automation first mindset.
Develop and Design Cloud Native Application frameworks using containerisation, microservices, api’s and orchestration technologies
Will lead design workshop and review sessions with customers as part of Solution POC/POT/Project or Pre-Sales
Develop Technical documentation and Solution Artefacts to a high standard
Implement scalable, distributed systems leveraging cloud platforms primarily Azure
Write efficient, reusable, and reliable code for cloud-based environments.
You will be implementing agile practices and methodology.
Set up CI/CD pipelines to automate the building, testing, and deployment of containerized applications and working with development and devops teams to achieve Infrastructure as Code as well as observability.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, staging, and production environments.
Collaborate with developers and application owners on software requirements.
It is a dynamic environment; you will be someone who likes to learn and has the ability to pick up new technologies quickly.
Education, Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect/Devops certifications
Haschicorp Terraform Associate/Professional
Experience working ideally with both Azure and AWS, albeit Azure will be more prevalent.
Extensive experience working with Infrastructure as code and application configuration management toolsets such as Terraform and Ansible as well as CI/CD platforms (Jenkins / Azure DevOps / GitHub/Gitlab/Helm)
Strong Scripting skills in Bash and Python preferable
Strong experience with Linux-based infrastructures and Linux/Unix administration.
Extensive experience in scaling patterns and tooling in enterprise environments
A good grasp of operational / lifecycle management (SRE model)
Experience working with Kubernetes and container-based architectures.
Experience working in the realm of API design a plus
Good communication skills to be effective collaborator amongst multiple teams and stake holders.
Possess strong documentation and technical writing skills for varied audiences.
A good grasp of Cloud security and networking required.
Any experience or knowledge in the realm of AI and Data science would also be positive especially from any Public Cloud Provider.
