We are looking for a scrappy, technical person to drive growth through developer outreach, automation, and experimentation. You'll work directly with the CEO, have freedom to try things, and learn fast. This is a hands-on execution role, not a management position.

This role is perfect if you have some experience but want to learn from a founder. We'd rather train someone hungry and aligned than hire someone senior who expects to manage people.

💪 What You'll Do

• Developer outreach. Find developers who could use our API. Reach out. Build relationships. Get them to try SearchApi and write about it.

• Email outreach at scale. Send a lot of emails. Personalized, thoughtful, effective. Not spam.

• Link-building. Use Ahrefs to analyze backlinks and find opportunities. Reach out for opportunities. Focus on quality, not quantity. We don't pay for low-quality directory links.

• Automation. Build workflows with n8n, Make, or similar tools. Automate repetitive tasks. Be scrappy.

• Content coordination. Find developers or writers who can create content about SearchApi. Manage relationships, not the writing itself.

• Ads. Help manage and experiment with paid campaigns when needed.

• Competitor analysis. Monitor what others are doing. Find gaps and opportunities.

• Whatever else moves the needle. This role is broad. You figure out what works and do more of it.

🤖 AI and Automation are Non-Negotiable

Our customers are AI companies. LangChain, HayStack, Flowise, LangFlow, Dify all integrate SearchApi. You need to genuinely care about AI and understand why developers use tools like ours.

You also need to be obsessed with automation. If you're doing the same task twice, you should be thinking about how to automate it. Tools like n8n, Make, Zapier, or custom scripts should be second nature.

🔥 The Hard Parts

This role is not for everyone. Here's what makes it hard:

• No playbook. We don't have a documented growth strategy for you to follow. You'll figure it out with the CEO.

• Outreach is hard. Most emails get ignored. You need resilience and creativity.

• Ambiguity. Some days you won't know what to work on. You need to find the highest-leverage thing and do it.

• Hands-on. This is not a strategy role. You execute. You send the emails. You build the automations.

• Fast pace. We move quickly. If you need weeks to plan before doing, this won't work.

If you want a defined job with clear tasks and someone to manage you, this isn't for you.

✨ About You

• Scrappy. You figure things out. Google, YouTube, AI, whatever it takes.

• Automation-obsessed. You've built workflows with n8n, Make, Zapier, or similar. This is required.

• Interested in AI. You use AI tools daily. You understand why developers need search APIs.

• Good writer. Outreach emails, documentation, whatever. Clear, concise, human.

• Comfortable with tools. Ahrefs, SEO tools, email tools, spreadsheets, APIs.

• Technical enough. You can call an API, read documentation, understand how web apps work. You don't need to be a developer, but you can't be scared of technical things.

• Self-directed. You don't need someone to tell you what to do every day.

• Fluent in English. Written communication is everything in this role.

Experience:

Some experience in SEO, outreach, growth, or marketing is helpful. But we care more about attitude and learning speed. If you're early in your career but hungry and technical, apply.
