SUMMARY:
The General IT Systems Administrator is responsible for maintaining the organization’s computer systems, networks, and related infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security.
SCOPE:
This role reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and involves installing and configuring hardware and software, managing user accounts, troubleshooting technical issues, and implementing cybersecurity measures. The General IT Systems Administrator collaborates with other departments and third-party IT vendors to support technology needs, ensure data integrity and backup procedures, and stays current with emerging technologies to enhance system efficiency.
Duties:
Lead development and implement processes for the organization’s IT systems
Acquire, install, and upgrade computer components and software and plan for and respond to service outages and problems
Automate routine tasks using scripting and writing basic computer programs to address more complex systems software configuration and enhancement
Analyze IT infrastructure and systems performance to assess operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements, and other metrics and needs
Oversee security of systems, networks, and enterprise information
Facilitate IT security audits
Develop and maintain relationships with third-party IT vendors and service providers
Coordinate multi-site IT systems
Manage internal and external software and hardware
Setup and manage employee hardware and software
Requirements:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in the latest IT systems technology
Proficient in Windows desktop and server, Active Directory, and related on-premise solutions
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, Azure, Defender, PowerBI, VMWare ESXI, and related technologies
Familiarity with SharePoint and file systems
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Thorough understanding of IT and practical applications to support the company’s goals
