This role is for one of the Weekday's clients
Min Experience: 7 years
Location: Bangalore
JobType: full-time
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Generative AI Lead to drive the design, development, and deployment of cutting-edge generative AI solutions across the organization. This role requires deep expertise in large language models (LLMs), multimodal AI systems, and enterprise-grade AI architecture. You will lead AI strategy, mentor cross-functional teams, and translate business problems into scalable generative AI applications that create measurable impact.
As a technical leader, you will own the end-to-end lifecycle of generative AI initiatives — from research and experimentation to production deployment and optimization — while ensuring responsible AI practices and performance excellence.
Requirements:
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the architecture and implementation of Generative AI systems using state-of-the-art LLMs and foundation models.
• Design and deploy enterprise-grade applications leveraging models such as GPT, Claude, LLaMA, or similar transformer-based architectures.
• Drive use-case discovery workshops and translate business requirements into AI-powered solutions.
• Architect RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), fine-tuning pipelines, prompt engineering frameworks, and model evaluation strategies.
• Develop scalable APIs and AI services integrated with backend and cloud infrastructure.
• Ensure model performance, reliability, cost optimization, and latency management in production environments.
• Implement AI governance, model safety, bias mitigation, and responsible AI best practices.
• Stay updated with advancements in generative AI research and evaluate emerging models and tools.
• Mentor data scientists, ML engineers, and developers while establishing engineering standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, security, and infrastructure teams to deliver high-impact AI solutions.
Technical Skills & Expertise
• 7–11 years of experience in AI/ML engineering, with at least 3+ years focused on Generative AI or large language models.
• Strong expertise in transformer architectures, diffusion models, embeddings, and prompt engineering.
• Hands-on experience with frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar.
• Experience designing RAG systems, vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, FAISS, Weaviate), and semantic search architectures.
• Proficiency in Python and strong understanding of model optimization, fine-tuning (LoRA/PEFT), and evaluation techniques.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and deploying AI workloads using containers and orchestration tools.
• Knowledge of MLOps, CI/CD for ML pipelines, experiment tracking, and monitoring frameworks.
• Understanding of AI ethics, data privacy regulations, and secure AI system design.
Leadership & Behavioral Competencies
• Proven experience leading technical teams and cross-functional AI initiatives.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a research-driven mindset.
• Ability to communicate complex AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to balance innovation and practical delivery.
• Passion for experimentation, rapid prototyping, and continuous learning.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience building multimodal AI systems (text, image, audio).
• Contributions to open-source AI projects or published research.
• Exposure to domain-specific AI implementations (healthcare, finance, legal, etc.).
