Financial Shared Services Lead

Responsibilities:
• Build & Automate
• Map and redesign end-to-end finance processes (P2P, approvals, payments, intercompany, reconciliations, close support)
• Identify repetitive/manual work and automate using ERP workflows, bots, scripts, RPA, and AI tools
• Implement approval systems and controls that scale with transaction growth without increasing headcount
• Partner with Product/Engineering to integrate finance systems and APIs
• Evaluate and deploy automation tools (RPA, OCR, AI-based invoice capture, workflow engines, etc.)

• Own Systems
• Act as the product owner for finance systems (approval tools, payment platforms)
• Drive system implementations, enhancements, and integrations
• Build dashboards and metrics to track performance, bottlenecks, and SLA adherence
• Replace manual spreadsheets with scalable, system-based solutions

• Lead Operations
• Manage and coach a team of ~10
• Set clear KPIs around turnaround time, accuracy, and productivity
• Ensure day-to-day execution is smooth, reliable, and audit-ready
• Balance “run the engine” with “improve the engine”

• Controls & Risk
• Design simple but strong approval frameworks and segregation of duties
• Strengthen audit readiness and compliance in a fast-moving crypto environment
• Reduce operational and fraud risks through system-based controls vs manual checks

• Scale with the Business
• Support new entities, markets, and product launches with scalable processes
• Expand shared services scope without linear headcount growth
• Be the go-to partner for Treasury, Accounting, and cross-functional teams

Requirements:
• 7–10 years in accounting operations, shared services, or finance transformation roles
• Experience leading small/medium teams in fast-paced or startup environments
• Strong systems mindset — you naturally think “automate first”
• Hands-on with ERP/workflow tools (NetSuite, Workday, or similar)
• Experience implementing RPA, automation, or AI tools (OCR/AP automation, etc.)
• Comfortable rolling up sleeves to configure tools yourself, not just manage vendors
• Strong process design and problem-solving skills
• Crypto/fintech/startup experience is a big plus
• CPA/CA is helpful but not mandatory
