Job Description
About the Role
Hi, I'm George Shang, Senior Manager of Growth Strategy & Operations at Jane. I've been here for just over a year and have the privilege of leading an incredibly talented team.
My team sits at the intersection of growth strategy, analytics, and operations - we're responsible for understanding how Jane acquires new customers, making that acquisition more efficient, and building the systems that make our go-to-market engine run.
Email is one of the most direct and highest-leverage channels in any growth marketing toolkit. We want to invest in doing it really well. The person in this seat will be a key executor across campaigns, lifecycle programs, and the list management and segmentation work that makes targeting actually land. You'll also be someone who's excited to experiment with AI and help us think about how to use it to do all of this better and at a greater scale.
This is a role for someone who's energized by execution but always thinking about the bigger picture. We're a lean team, and the people who thrive here are curious, collaborative, and always looking for ways to make things better - not just within their lane, but across it.
If you're energized by owning your craft, making data-informed decisions on the fly, and being the person a fast-moving team can count on to execute, this role was built for you.
What Impact We’re Looking for You to Make
• Build, test, and deploy email campaigns in HubSpot, including promotional sends, ad hoc emails, nurture programs, and automated lifecycle workflows.
• Own list management and segmentation, including uploading, processing, and routing contact lists, ensuring our database is accurate, well-organized, and set up to support targeted, personalized outreach across channels.
• Support event and webinar campaigns end-to-end, from invitation and registration flows to reminder emails, day-of communications, and post-event follow-up.
• Develop and maintain automated workflows and customer journeys that deliver value and build relationships with prospects and customers across email and beyond.
• Build and maintain email templates, modular email assets, image asset library for campaigns using no-code or low-code tools, following established standards and best practices.
• Support the execution of digital marketing campaigns across email, landing pages, and paid media, helping coordinate assets, tracking, and quality assurance.
• Run A/B tests across subject lines, content, CTAs, and send times and act on learnings to improve performance.
• Create and maintain dashboards to monitor & report on email metrics (open rate, CTR, conversion rate), turning data into clear recommendations for what to do next.
• Proactively experiment with AI to improve efficiency, personalization, & content quality at scale.
• Partner with the creative, content, and growth teams to align execution with broader marketing goals.
• Maintain templates, documentation, and process guidelines so our marketing program is scalable and easy to build on.
• Growth-oriented, with interest in expanding into integrated campaign and GTM program support beyond email execution.
What Experience We Need
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in email marketing or marketing operations, ideally with HubSpot as your primary platform.
• Solid understanding of segmentation, workflow logic, automation and lifecycle marketing principles.
• Knowledgeable on email best practices for email deliverability, subject line and preview text optimization, cross-client rendering compatibility and copy structure that drives conversion
• Understand CASL, CAN-SPAM and GDPR compliance and ensure best practices for all email sends, including consent capture, opt-out flows, and subscription management
• Comfortable and agile working across multiple campaign types: email, landing pages, digital advertising, webinars, and events. Comfort working with data - you can pull a report, spot what matters, and communicate it clearly.
• Strong attention to detail, obsessive about QA and accuracy.
• A collaborative mindset and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once without things falling through the cracks.
• Experience working effectively with cross functional partners and building stakeholder relationships.
• Familiarity with HTML/CSS for email is a plus, but not required.
