Job Summary:

The Director, RedMedia Sales is responsible for leading sales strategy and revenue growth for the RedMedia retail media network. This role drives long-term, scalable revenue through strategic partnerships with CPG and national advertisers while positioning RedMedia as a best-in-class, solution-oriented media platform.

This leader oversees sales planning, pipeline management, and client engagement strategies to ensure aggressive revenue targets are met. The Director serves as a key member of the retail media leadership team, influencing cross-functional alignment across merchandising, marketing, operations, and executive leadership to support network growth. This role requires strong executive presence, strategic thinking, and the ability to communicate complex value propositions to C-suite stakeholders.

Reporting Relationships:

Accountable and Reports to: AVP, Hy-Vee, Inc.; Chief Operating Officer, RedMedia

Direct Reports: RedMedia Partner Managers and Account Managers

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth

• Develop and execute a long-term, aggressive sales and revenue roadmap to drive scalable growth across CPG and national advertisers.
• Establish sales strategies that align with RedMedia’s overall business objectives and retail media growth plans.
• Identify new revenue opportunities, partnerships, and market expansion strategies.

Pipeline & Performance Management

• Lead weekly sales and pipeline review meetings to ensure progress against revenue goals.
• Provide regular updates and insights to Senior Leadership on pipeline health, risks, and opportunities.
• Drive accountability across the sales team to meet or exceed revenue targets.

Client & Market Leadership

• Build and maintain strong relationships with top-tier advertisers, understanding their business needs and aligning RedMedia solutions accordingly.
• Position RedMedia as a strategic, solution-oriented partner that delivers measurable business outcomes.
• Lead the development and delivery of compelling, data-driven proposals and presentations.

Executive Communication & Thought Leadership

• Prepare and deliver high-impact presentations to C-suite stakeholders, clearly articulating RedMedia’s value proposition and advanced reporting capabilities.
• Serve as a public-facing leader and spokesperson for RedMedia at industry events, conferences, and client engagements.
• Develop and execute an event strategy to engage key advertisers and elevate RedMedia’s market presence.

Cross-Functional Leadership

• Act as a cross-functional leader across retail media, merchandising, marketing, and executive leadership to drive alignment and growth.
• Influence organizational priorities through strong change management and advocacy for retail media initiatives.
• Partner with internal teams to ensure sales strategies are supported by operational execution, inventory, and product capabilities.

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team focused on achieving aggressive revenue goals.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Build organizational capability to support long-term growth of the RedMedia network.

Education and Experience:

10+ years of experience in media sales, retail media, advertising, or a related field.

Proven track record of driving significant revenue growth and managing high-performing sales teams.

Experience working with CPG brands and national advertisers preferred.

Strong understanding of retail media, digital advertising, and omnichannel marketing strategies.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field required.

Working Conditions:

Work is performed in a professional office environment.

Travel required for client meetings, conferences, and industry events.

Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to meet business needs.

Financial Responsibility:

• Responsible for achieving and exceeding revenue targets for the RedMedia network.
• Oversees sales pipeline management and revenue forecasting.
• Influences pricing strategies, partnership agreements, and revenue optimization efforts.

Has access to confidential and proprietary information including client data, sales strategies, pricing structures, and financial performance.

Must maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in handling sensitive information.
