About Fresco
Fresco is a smart kitchen platform trusted by leading appliance brands around the world to build and scale connected cooking experiences. Our platform helps brands launch faster, deliver better experiences for home cooks, and accelerate their digital transformation.
Our mission is to empower anyone to cook delicious food.
Powered by KitchenOS and the Fresco AI Cooking Companion, Fresco connects appliances across brands, supports rapid onboarding, and scales globally in more than 15 languages. We work with partners including Panasonic, Middleby, Kenwood, Instant Pot Brands, Bosch, GE Appliances, Arda and LG, and operate as a global team with offices in Dublin and Madrid.
About the Role
As Director of Business Development, you will lead Fresco’s efforts to win new partners and expand our footprint across the global appliance ecosystem. This role is central to delivering our 2026 goals and long-term vision—securing the partnerships that drive revenue today while establishing Fresco as the default platform powering the connected kitchen.
You will focus on closing high-impact, net-new deals with appliance manufacturers, OEMs, retailers, and strategic kitchen ecosystem players. This includes both “autobahn” mid-tier opportunities (rapid onboarding, scalable revenue) and landmark partnerships with market leaders that accelerate distribution and category adoption.
Operating as both a strategic leader and hands-on dealmaker, you will shape how Fresco goes to market, prioritises opportunities, and converts vision into long-term commercial partnerships.
This is an opportunity to build the new business foundation from the ground up, shaping processes, playbooks and structures.
This would suit entrepreneurial candidates motivated by ownership, autonomy, career growth, and the chance to have a lasting impact on company growth.
This role offers a highly competitive salary and lucrative commission structure for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
Net-New Revenue Ownership
Own and deliver against ambitious new business targets.
Strategic Partner Acquisition
Identify, engage, and close partnerships with appliance manufacturers, retailers, OEMs, and ecosystem players across key market segments:
Top-tier global brands
Mid-market “autobahn” partners
Opportunities via OEM relationships
Complex Deal Execution
Lead end-to-end enterprise sales cycles—from initial engagement through to negotiation and close.
Market Development & Prioritisation
Translate Fresco’s strategy into a focused business development plan, prioritising high-ROI opportunities that balance near-term revenue with long-term strategic value.
Go-to-Market Leadership
Refine Fresco’s commercial positioning, value proposition, and engagement models in collaboration with leadership, ensuring strong alignment with product capabilities and roadmap.
Pipeline & Forecasting Discipline
In collaboration with Finance, build a robust, high-quality pipeline with clear visibility, accurate forecasting, and disciplined deal progression.
Sales Team Collaboration
Work closely with leadership to prioritise where to focus, and partner closely with Solution Engineering to shape solutions, handle technical conversations, and get deals over the line.
Cross-Functional Execution
Work closely with Product, Delivery, and Account Management to ensure a seamless transition from deal close to onboarding and long-term partner success.
Foundation Building
Establish the processes, playbooks, and structure required to build and scale the Business Development function, with the potential to hire and lead a team over time.
Executive Relationship Building
Working with the CEO, develop trusted relationships with C-level stakeholders, positioning Fresco as a long-term strategic partner in their digital transformation.
Events and Trade Shows
Represent Fresco externally at key industry events and trade shows to build pipeline and strengthen relationships.
About You
10+ years’ experience in Business Development, Enterprise Sales, or Strategic Partnerships within B2B SaaS, IoT, or platform businesses
Experience with long lead time enterprise sales and consultative selling. Co- selling is a plus
Proven track record of closing complex, high-value net-new deals
Strong “hunter” mindset—you create opportunities, not just convert inbound demand
Experience selling into large organisations with long, multi-stakeholder sales cycles
Commercially sharp, with strong negotiation and deal structuring capabilities
Strategic thinker with the ability to prioritise opportunities based on ROI and long-term impact
Comfortable operating in a high-growth environment with evolving structure and priorities
Passionate about connected homes and/or cooking interest is a plus.
Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to align internal teams around winning and delivering deals
Fluency in English required; additional European languages a plus
Experience in connected devices, appliance ecosystems, or working with large consumer brands is a strong advantage
