Digitisation Engineer – UiPath RPA & Intelligent Automation
The Digitisation Engineer is a key member of the team, acting as an RPA and Intelligent Automation champion across LSEG. The role partners closely with the CoE and Business to embed automations into the operations of the organization, accelerating adoption and scaling automation capabilities across business units.
This role requires deep technical expertise in the UiPath ecosystem, including Studio, Orchestration, attended and unattended robots, queues, assets, and reusable frameworks. The engineer must also demonstrate strong business analysis and data transformation skills. Working as an Automation domain SME, the Digitisation Engineer will translate business requirements into scalable automation solutions, identify inefficiencies, and help drive measurable business value.
Role Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities
• Own and drive end-to-end delivery of UiPath automation solutions across multiple business units and complex IT landscapes
• Deliver measurable business outcomes and return on investment by identifying, designing, building, and deploying automations that address operational inefficiencies
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support attended, unattended robots using Studio and StudioX where appropriate
• Architect and maintain components, including assets, queues, triggers, schedules, credential stores, environments, and folders
• Integrate automations with on‑premise and cloud applications, including ERP platforms, web applications, APIs, and legacy systems, ensuring security and compliance standards are met
• Collaborate with senior executives, process owners, and IT teams to gather requirements and convert them into PDDs, and SDDs
• Conduct automation feasibility assessments and process discovery workshops to identify automation candidates and build a prioritized automation pipeline
• Plan and manage project delivery from discovery through deployment, hyper care, and handover, ensuring timelines, scope, and quality standards are met
• Build robust code using RE-Framework or custom frameworks to support scalability, exception handling, logging, and maintainability
• Develop and manage reusable components and libraries to accelerate delivery across the CoE
• Collaborate with business to identify continuous improvement opportunities and extend automations using Gen AI and other Intelligent Automation capabilities
• Build dashboards and automation performance metrics using Insights or enterprise reporting tools
• Present automation results, benefits realization, and process improvements to Business users
• Lead UiPath awareness sessions, automation discovery workshops, and end‑user training
• Assist in defining and enforcing RPA governance, coding standards, security controls, and guidelines within the UiPath CoE
Qualifications & Experience
• Significant hands‑on experience as an UiPath RPA Developer / Solution Engineer delivering enterprise‑scale automations
• Strong expertise in the UiPath platform, including: • Studio / StudioX
• Orchestrator (queues, assets, triggers, folders)
• Attended, unattended, and hybrid robots
• RE-Framework and best‑practice exception handling
• Experience integrating UiPath with ERP systems, databases, APIs, Citrix/VDI environments, and web applications
• Proven experience in process assessment, automation design, and benefits tracking
• Hands‑on experience in AI, Python, and GenAI technologies, including adoption within RPA and intelligent automation solutions
• Familiarity with UiPath's IXP, Test Suite and Agentic AI capabilities
• Experience operating within an Intelligent Automation CoE model with strong governance and control frameworks
