Job Description
A Career with Point72's Market Intelligence Team
On our proprietary research team—Market Intelligence—you’ll partner with our investment professionals and Compliance team to work with alternative data to uncover insights about companies, industries, and the broader economy through deep fundamental research and applying data science and engineering techniques. You’ll work alongside a talented team with diverse skills, backgrounds, and perspectives. Our sector data analysts, data scientists, data managers, and engineers work together to build compliant research products that are incorporated into the research process of our investment professionals. We look for other bright, motivated, and collaborative people to join our team and grow with us—a majority of the leaders in our group were promoted from within.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Build it here — own the CI/CD and automation platform that delivers Market Intelligence data pipelines and services, enabling rapid development and reliable production deployments
• Design and implement cloud-native infrastructure to host large-scale data ingestion, processing, and serving workloads with a focus on performance and resilience
• Implement infrastructure as code to provision, manage, and version compute, networking, storage, and security resources across environments
• Containerize applications and operate container orchestration clusters to deliver scalable, fault-tolerant services
• Develop and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting to provide end-to-end visibility, automated incident response, and measurable service-level objectives
• Automate deployment, configuration management, and testing to reduce manual toil and accelerate delivery cycles
• Partner with data engineers, researchers, and compliance to translate business requirements into secure, compliant, and observable infrastructure solutions
• Lead post-incident reviews and continuous improvement initiatives to harden systems, reduce risk, and improve operational maturity
• Mentor colleagues, drive platform tooling decisions, and contribute to the technical roadmap that scales our data engineering capabilities
WHAT'S REQUIRED
• 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, site reliability engineering, or infrastructure engineering supporting production systems
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent technical experience
• 3+ years of experience designing and operating public cloud infrastructure, including compute, networking, storage, and identity services
• 3+ years of experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• 3+ years of experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or similar tooling
• Strong scripting and programming skills in Python, Bash, or a comparable language and demonstrable experience with source control workflows
• Experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines and automation tooling such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar systems
• Experience implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using modern observability tools and dashboards
• Demonstrated troubleshooting and incident response skills in Linux environments with experience diagnosing complex production issues
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Commitment to the highest ethical standards
