A DAY IN A LIFE

At Teleport, we’re building toward IPO — and that means doing the boring things well. Execution, discipline, and follow-through matter as much as big ideas. Your day will be varied, often crossing functions, but most of your time will focus on delivering results, owning your scope end-to-end, making fast, data-informed decisions, and following through on fundamentals like reporting, documentation, and processes. How we work matters as much as what we achieve. Doing the basics right, every time, sets us up for success.

Most of your time will be spent driving impact through:

• Multi-Cloud Infrastructure & Kubernetes Management: Own, deploy, scale, and maintain our multi-cloud architecture across Tencent Cloud, Alibaba Cloud, and GCP. You will manage containerised workloads end-to-end using TKE, ACK, and GKE clusters to ensure high availability for both China domestic and global operations.
• Automated CI/CD & Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Design, build, and optimise robust CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions. Develop and maintain reusable Terraform modules to standardise infrastructure deployments globally.
• Compliance, Monitoring & Operational Excellence: Ensure absolute compliance with China’s data residency, domestic CDN requirements, and ICP regulations. Implement proactive observability (Prometheus, Grafana), participate in daytime on-call rotations, and integrate alerts with regional collaboration tools (WeChat Work, DingTalk, Feishu).

Requirements:
These are minimum-requirement skills and a ‘must-have’ for the role:

• Proven Multi-Cloud & Kubernetes Expertise: At least 3 years of overall cloud experience, featuring a strict minimum of 1 year each of hands-on experience with Tencent Cloud (TKE, VPC, CLB), Alibaba Cloud (ACK, ROS, SLB), and GCP (GKE, IAM, Cloud Run). Production-level experience with Kubernetes is mandatory..
• Strong Automation, IaC & Scripting Skills: Proven track record of developing Terraform modules for multi-cloud environments alongside experience building pipelines in Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions. Proficient in automation via Python, Go, or Shell scripting.
• Bilingual Fluency & China Compliance Knowledge: Native or business-level fluency in Mandarin (to interface with domestic platforms and teams) and English proficiency for technical documentation. You must possess a solid understanding of China's ICP registration and domestic CDN frameworks.
