About the Team

TechTorch engineering teams build and operate modern, cloud-native platforms that power digital commerce, data-driven operations, and AI-enabled workflows. We work across AWS, Salesforce, integration middleware, and enterprise systems to deliver secure, resilient, and production-grade platforms for PE-backed clients operating in regulated environments.

About the Role

As a DevOps Engineer (AWS), you will own the cloud foundation, delivery pipelines, security controls, observability, and operational readiness for a modern headless eCommerce platform. You will be responsible for ensuring that the platform is secure, scalable, observable, and production-ready from day one.

This role is highly hands-on and sits at the intersection of cloud infrastructure, security, and engineering delivery. You will collaborate closely with backend, frontend, and solution architecture teams to support reliable launches and long-term platform stability.

What You’ll Do

• Design and implement AWS infrastructure for a headless eCommerce stack, including networking, security, runtime, data, and logging layers

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for:

• React / Next.js frontend deployments

• AWS serverless backend services (API Gateway, Lambda, Step Functions, etc.)

• Infrastructure-as-Code promotion across environments using Terraform

• Define environment strategy (dev / stage / prod), release workflows, and deployment safety mechanisms such as rollbacks and blue/green deployments where appropriate

• Implement security and compliance guardrails for systems handling sensitive and regulated data, including encryption, secrets management, IAM least privilege, audit logging, and WAF/edge security

• Own observability and SLO readiness, including dashboards, alarms, tracing, log aggregation, synthetic checks, and production readiness gates

• Support connectivity and operational patterns across Salesforce Commerce, webMethods, and third-party integrations

• Partner with solution architects and engineers on capacity planning, performance optimization, cost controls, and incident response runbooks

Who You Are

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering roles, primarily on AWS (or equivalent cloud platforms)

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services including IAM, VPC, API Gateway, Lambda, CloudFront, WAF, CloudWatch, S3, Secrets Manager, and KMS

• Proven experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, with modular patterns and clear environment separation

• Experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or similar tools, including secure deployments and automated promotions

• Security-first mindset with strong understanding of least privilege, secret rotation, key management, secure networking, and auditability

• Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-ownership environments with strong delivery expectations

Nice to Have

• Experience running serverless platforms at scale, including Step Functions, EventBridge, SQS, and idempotency patterns

• Exposure to regulated environments (e.g., PHI, HIPAA) or strong background delivering security and compliance controls

• Experience supporting complex, multi-system enterprise integrations
