Mission

As an Developer Experience Engineer, your mission is to remove friction for engineers using Toradex solutions. You’ll create technical documentation, demos, reproducible references, and automation that let customers go from prototype to production faster. You will drive our efforts to have the best technical support experience in the industry, including assisting customers through our AI-powered developer community. You’ll work closely with R&D, Product and Marketing and be the voice of developers inside Toradex.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities will include:

• Contribute to our self-service support through one-to-many support resources (documentation, community forum), artificial intelligence and support automation

• Be a key stakeholder in the overall user experience of Toradex products, with a focus on software

• Make complex technical concepts easy to understand for Toradex target customers, with a focus on our software, cloud and security solutions, like Torizon

• Help create excitement for Toradex solutions via evangelism among developers

• Interact with customers using our support channels (email, community, documentation)

• Help scale our support by updating documentation based on direct interactions with customers

Requirements

• Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering.

• Availability to work Hybrid from the Toradex Office a few days a week

• Experience communicating about products and technical concepts in developer forums, webinars, blogs, or talks

• Previous experience contributing to software releases or feature launches and preparing clear developer communications

• Familiarity with Git: Managed (possibly jointly) a Git Repository with multiple contributors

• Knowledge of programming patterns and anti-patterns

• Experience with CI/CD

• Comfortable with C/C++ and Python; shell scripting (Bash)

• Strong proficiency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred:

• Experience providing technical support to customers

• Previous exposure to the developer community

• Experience working on Software as a Service (SaaS), cloud computing or cybersecurity solutions

• Knowledge or experience of Embedded Linux as a user or system administrator

• Previous experience working with Yocto

• Familiarity with Docker containers

• Able to read and comprehend hardware schematics

• Able to work with I/O interfaces (GPIO, I2C, SPI, UART, MIPI)

• Knowledge of Agile development concepts

• Knowledge of AI/ML, preferably on embedded devices
