About this opportunity
We invite a Databricks Platform Administrator to join our Data Platform team. In this high-impact role, you’ll own the day-to-day administration, optimization, and evolution of our Databricks environment. You’ll ensure our data scientists and engineers have a reliable, well-governed, and high-performing platform for analytics, ML experimentation, and production workloads.

🧩 Key responsibilities and your contribution
In this role, you'll own and optimize our Databricks platform, ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient operations for our data and ML teams.
• Own the health, security, and governance of the Databricks environment
• Manage, scale, and optimize computing clusters for data science and ML workloads
• Configure workspaces, access controls, and network settings
• Ensure high availability and reliability of analytics workloads
• Monitor platform performance; build dashboards/alerts for cluster efficiency and job success
• Enable and improve data ingestion, transformation, and model execution workflows
• Build self-service tools to provision notebooks, clusters, and environments; drive automation to reduce toil
• Manage Unity Catalog rollout/adoption for data discovery, lineage, and access governance
• Review workspace configurations, cluster policies, and user permissions to maintain security
• Support audit and compliance for data governance across Databricks
• Partner with data and ML teams to optimize platform experience and unblock workflows
• Coordinate with Cloud DevOps on AWS infrastructure, networking, and IAM dependencies
✅ Is that you?
• 5+ years in Databricks administration or engineering, or in a closely related data platform role
• Strong Databricks workspace administration skills, including cluster policies, permissions, Unity Catalog, Jobs/Workflows, and networking
• Familiarity with AWS services supporting Databricks deployments (S3, IAM, VPC, EC2)
• Experience with data pipelines and orchestration tools (dbt, Airflow, Fivetran, Delta Live Tables)
• Proficiency in Python and SQL; familiarity with Spark
• Understanding of modern data governance and access control patterns (RBAC, data classification)
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field
• Upper-Intermediate English level
✅ Nice to have
• Experience in financial services or regulated industries
• Experience with Snowflake and AWS engineering
• Hands-on experience with MLflow, model serving, or feature store in Databricks
• Familiarity with IaC tools (Terraform) for managing Databricks resources
• Experience with AI/LLMOps tools (observability, evaluation pipelines, agentic workflows)
• Experience optimizing Databricks costs (cluster policies, spot instances, Photon, serverless SQL)
• Knowledge of distributed computing frameworks (Spark, Ray, Dask)
