Role Summary:

We’re seeking a highly motivated Quality Assurance Analyst, with strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail, to join our Human Data Annotation team within the Science organization. In this role, you’ll perform audits and analyze data to uphold the highest standards of annotated data quality, directly contributing to accelerating science at Mistral.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create, audit, and evaluate both technical (e.g., function calling, structured outputs) and generalist (e.g., tone, style) human data annotations, ensuring alignment with model behavior specifications and annotation guidelines
• Execute quality assurance processes and work closely with technical program managers to:
- Identify annotation errors or inconsistencies
- Synthesize feedback for annotators, resolve ambiguities, and improve annotation guidelines.
- Report insights on annotator observations on model behavior
• Leverage and maintain tools and scripts that
- Analyze annotated datasets for trends, patterns, and systemic issues
- Automate quality checks, generate reports, and streamline workflows

Qualifications & Profile:

• Education & Experience: Relevant academic background and proven experience in data annotation, quality assurance, and using annotation tools.
• Analytical mindset: Ability to identify trends and root causes of data quality issues. Basic coding skills (Python, SQL).
• Language Skills: Expert reading and writing skills, with the ability to pass a written test. Multilingual capabilities are an asset. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to Detail: Strong commitment to accuracy and a high tolerance for repetitive tasks.
• Independent Worker: Ability to follow complex instructions, navigate ambiguity, and work independently.
• Time Management: Superb sense of urgency and excellent time management skills.
• Process-Driven & Organized: Rigorous, process-driven, and well-structured approach to work.

Now, it would be ideal if you have :
-Previous hands-on experience as a data annotator.
-Fluency in multiple languages.
-Experience in coding and code reviews.
