Dialectic, a crypto-native organization of builders and capital advisors, is seeking a Data Science intern to join the team on a full-time basis. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic and fast-growing team, focused on investing in and building compelling software in emerging crypto and blockchain technologies. We produce outlier results through a series of diversified investment strategies in the decentralized finance ecosystem.

Job Summary:
We are offering a Data Science Internship for a person with strong skills who can perform deep quantitative analysis that informs capital deployment decisions and furthers our research into topics such as risk management, portfolio optimization, and market analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sourcing, compiling, cleaning, and analyzing data across a range of markets.

• Analyze existing datasets to identify trends and biases.

• Demonstrating findings to the investment team and CIO through thoughtful data visualization.

• Building out and maintaining datasets of consolidated information, especially with respect to opaque markets.

• Taylor traditional portfolio optimization methods to a DeFi yielding book.

• Participate in the discussions of the investment committee about capital allocation decisions.

• Work closely with the Software team to automate data collection and analysis processes.

Key Requirements:

• Experience with machine learning & statistical analysis methods.

• Strong Interest in the Cryptocurrency and especially DeFi space.

• Background in finance or computer/data science with a deep understanding of financial markets.

• Entrepreneurial mindset, be independent and be flexible.

• Development skills in Python.

• Skills in other Languages such as Rust and Solidity would be considered a strong asset.

• Knowledge of database software tools, quantitative analysis, and data visualization.

• An understanding of the crypto markets and the web3 industry.

• Ability to find and clean data with respect to opaque markets.

• Advanced data visualization skills would be considered a strong asset.

• Self-motivated, disciplined and detail-oriented.
