The Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, McGill University, is seeking applications for a Course Lecturer for the 2026 academic year to teach Course INDS 118 Movement is at Gatineau Campus.

Course overview: Introduction to the anatomy, physiology, pathology, and therapeutics of disorders of bones, joints, muscles and peripheral nerves as well as elements of the physical examination and clinical interview relevant to these conditions.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Supporting first-year medical students in musculoskeletal anatomy through preparation and facilitation of dissection laboratories, guiding hands-on learning, fostering active discussion, and contributing to the assessment and evaluation of student performance to promote clinical readiness and professional development. Ensure and reinforce adherence to the code of conduct in the anatomy laboratory.

OTHER MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Preparation of dissection laboratories and teaching materials
• Preparation of anatomy lab bell-ringer examinations
• Participation in anatomy lab discussions and coordination with the Downtown Montreal campus

TEACHING QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
1) Demonstrate excellent ability to teach and guide human anatomy dissection in the anatomy lab, and effectively support students in dissection of the musculoskeletal system.
2) Demonstrate effective teaching in French.

Education
Bachelor of Science in Anatomy; completion of, or current enrollment in, a Master’s degree in anatomy or a related field.

Experience
More than 2 years of dissection experience

Other
Fluency in French (written and verbal)
