Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Container Team Lead to drive the deployment, optimisation, and governance of containerised platforms within a managed service environment. The role requires deep expertise in OpenShift and OpenShift AI, including lifecycle management of Large Language Models (LLMs), automation initiatives, and ensuring SLA-driven operational excellence.
This position combines hands-on technical leadership with platform governance and team management responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead deployment, configuration, and optimisation of OpenShift and OpenShift AI platforms
• Manage lifecycle of containerised workloads, including LLM deployments
• Oversee Kubernetes-based orchestration and platform scalability
• Implement automation frameworks for provisioning, monitoring, and patching
• Ensure high availability, security compliance, and SLA adherence
• Drive performance tuning and capacity planning
• Lead a team of platform engineers and DevOps specialists
• Collaborate with AI/ML teams to containerise and operationalise models
• Ensure governance, documentation, and operational best practices
Required Experience
• 8–10 years of experience in container platforms and cloud-native environments
• Strong hands-on experience with OpenShift and Kubernetes
• Experience deploying and managing LLMs in containerised environments
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Ansible), and GitOps
• Experience in monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.)
• Exposure to hybrid cloud or multi-cloud environments
• Proven team leadership experience
Preferred Certifications
• Red Hat OpenShift Certification
• Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD)
• Cloud-native platform certifications
