Job Title: Construction Data & Automation Specialist
Job Type: Full Time
Start Date: Immediately
Salary Range: $65,000 - $85,000 Annual Salary
Position Overview: Build and operate no-code and low-code data pipelines, automation, and analytics that turn construction operational data into clear, trusted dashboards for project teams and leadership. This role focuses on data structure, consistency, and insight—not app development—while supporting a distributed, job-based construction environment.
Core Outcomes
A single, trusted view of job, cost, and production performance
Consistent KPIs across projects, regions, and time periods
Decision-ready dashboards used weekly by PMs and executives
Essential Functions:
Design, maintain, and automate data pipelines using no‑code/low‑code tools.
Integrate data from ERP, project management, timekeeping, and scheduling systems.
Normalize job-level data (jobs, phases, cost codes, labor, materials, production) into analytics‑ready models.
Build and maintain dashboards (Power BI, Metabase, Tableau, or Excel) that track job health, WIP, cost variance, and productivity.
Translate business questions into clear KPIs, metrics, and visualizations used across operations, finance, and leadership.
Implement automated data refreshes, quality checks, alerts, and exception handling to reduce manual reporting.
Partner with project managers, finance, and operations leaders to define metric standards and support ad‑hoc analysis.
Establish governance standards, documentation, and access controls to ensure accuracy, consistency, and data security.
Education and Experience:
Experience with construction ERPs and job-cost systems· Exposure to light scripting (Python or JavaScript) to extend no-code tools
Experience supporting multi-project or regional construction operations
Familiarity with WIP, EAC, labor productivity, and margin analysis
Required Skills & Abilities
Strong ability to build dashboards and analytics using modern BI tools, supported by solid SQL and relational data‑modeling skills.
Experienced in creating data pipelines using no‑code/low‑code platforms and working with APIs, flat files, and structured formats like JSON/CSV.
Skilled at turning operational questions into clear metrics, KPIs, and actionable insights that support decision‑making.
Maintains high standards for data accuracy, consistency, and repeatable reporting—even when working with imperfect or evolving data.
Communicates clearly with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders, providing explanations that go beyond dashboards to real insight.
Demonstrates strong documentation habits, defining metrics and data logic clearly to ensure clarity, alignment, and long‑term maintainability.
Work Environment/Physical Requirements:
Primarily office-based work environment
Pass initial drug test and participate in random drug test program
Overtime and weekends may be required based on workload demands
Must comply with OSHA regulations, safety requirements, and company safety policies
