This role focuses on supporting financial institutions in highly regulated digital and technological environments, ensuring regulatory compliance across technology projects, third‑party services and digital processes. The consultant will work closely with risk, IT, cybersecurity, legal and compliance teams, contributing to interactions with auditors and regulators and strengthening governance and control frameworks.
Functions:
– Lead and execute regulatory compliance risk assessments across technology processes, critical providers and digital services, identifying control gaps, mitigation actions and associated evidence requirements.
– Supervise regulatory compliance in technology and operational projects, reviewing contractual documentation, SLAs, regulatory controls and supporting evidence.
– Participate in risk and compliance committees, providing regulatory analysis, gap identification and mitigation proposals.
– Contribute to the development and continuous update of internal regulatory frameworks, promoting process improvements, automation and more efficient compliance reporting.
Responsibilities:
– Perform detailed analysis of regulatory and compliance risks related to technology initiatives, third‑party services and digital banking processes.
– Ensure alignment with financial and technology regulatory frameworks such as DORA, EBA Guidelines, MiFID II, PSD2/PSD3 and data‑protection regulations (GDPR).
– Produce executive and technical documentation, including compliance reports, control matrices, dashboards and materials for internal committees, audits and supervisory bodies.
– Coordinate with internal teams (risk, IT, cybersecurity, legal, compliance) and external providers to translate regulatory requirements into implementable technological and operational controls.
– Support internal, external and regulatory audit processes by ensuring traceability, quality and availability of compliance evidence.
– Promote continuous improvement initiatives through automation of evidence collection, digitalization of compliance workflows and use of regulatory tools.
Requirements:
– More than 4 years of experience in regulatory compliance, technology risk or regulatory audit roles within banking, financial services or Big4.
– Strong knowledge of financial and technological regulatory frameworks, including DORA, EBA Guidelines, MiFID II, PSD2/PSD3, GDPR and local data‑protection regulations.
– Experience reviewing contracts, validating regulatory controls over providers and participating in audits or regulatory inspections.
– Ability to translate regulatory requirements into implementable technological and operational controls.
– Experience in digital banking, digital onboarding, outsourcing arrangements and regulated technology processes.
– English level C1.
Nice to have:
– Experience with compliance dashboards, regulatory reporting and evidence‑management workflows.
– Familiarity with operational resilience, third‑party oversight and regulatory change management in banking.
– Certifications such as CAMS, CCEP, CRISC, CISA, DPO or ISO 37301 / ISO 27001 are a plus.
