Position Summary
As a Cloud Ops Administrator you will be responsible for configuring, monitoring, and managing the cloud instances of CBN solutions for our North American customers. In this position you will manage and provide ongoing support to ensure they remain highly available, reliable, and secure.
Core Responsibilities
• Cloud Administration• Install, configure, and maintain services, instance nodes, networks, and other IT infrastructure components.
• Design, maintain, and improve infrastructure‑as‑code and automation pipelines to reduce manual operations and improve reliability and repeatability.
• Performance Monitoring and Tuning• Monitor system and database instances performance, identify issues, and optimize performance.
• Security Management• Implement and manage security measures to protect systems and databases instances from unauthorized access and threats.
• Backup and Recovery• Develop and implement backup and recovery plans to ensure services and instances are ready and available 24/7 and on demand.
• Troubleshooting and Support• Provide technical support for systems and instances in test and production environments.
• Documentation• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system and database configurations, changes, processes, and procedures.
• Various Other Duties and Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
• Legally eligible to work in Canada.
• Fluent in English (speak, read, write).
• Able to obtain (in a timely manner) and maintain Government of Canada Secret (Level II) security clearance
• Bachelor's degree in computer science (or related field) or equivalent additional relevant experience
• Knowledge of system administration, cloud computing (Azure), security best practices
• Technical knowledge of:• O/S: Linux, Windows Server, cloud instances
• Virtualization: VMWare, XCP-NG, JVM
• Containerization/Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes
• Deployment/Configuration: Puppet, Terraform, Ansible, Bicep, Helmchart
• 4-7 years of system administration experience with at least 1 year of cloud operations experience or vice versa.
• Able to work an on-call rotation of 1 week on/5 weeks off
• Able to travel approx. 2-6 weeks/year 
Preferred Qualifications
• Fluency in French (speak, read, write).
• Any of the following certifications: CompTIA Server+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, AWS Associate
• Hands-on experience supporting hybrid cloud environments
• DevOps knowledge and experience
• Automation knowledge and experience
