Rockstar is recruiting for a pioneering company at the intersection of autonomous systems, distributed infrastructure, and applied AI. This company has raised $5.1M to build agents as fully autonomous founders and is backed by notable founders and VCs. After a focused period of R&D in stealth, the team is now entering its next chapter: scaling its systems in the real world. They are a small, highly driven team building the foundation for agents that don't just chat, but run entire businesses.

Role Overview

This company is looking for a Chief of Staff to be the operational and strategic backbone as it exits stealth. The candidate will work directly with the founder to build the systems, workflows, and infrastructure that let the company move faster, think clearer, and execute at a higher level.

What You'll Own

1. Systems Alignment & Agentification

The candidate defaults to building systems and automation over adding headcount. They've already done this for themselves. Now they'll do it for the company.

* Auditing where human time is being spent and systematically replacing low-leverage work with agentic workflows

* Building and maintaining AI-powered systems across ops, recruiting, communications, and content

* Designing automation pipelines that capture the CEO's thinking and turn it into organized strategy, product direction, and external execution

* Implementing operating cadences and metrics that actually drive better decisions

2. BizOps

The candidate understands that every operational and strategic decision compounds. How the team structures itself, allocates resources, and executes on non-product priorities determines its trajectory as much as anything it builds.

* Translating the CEO's product thinking into clear direction, priorities, and artifacts the team can execute against

* Owning partnership conversations, fundraising prep, and competitive research

* Thinking clearly about team structure and resource allocation as the company scales

* Planning and running team offsites, operating cadences, and strategic planning cycles

3. GTM Systems & Vision Amplification

The company has a compelling point of view. As it exits stealth, it needs to share it strategically to attract great hires, early customers, and the right attention, without giving away its edge.

* Building systems to turn the CEO's thinking into clear, compelling external communication

* Positioning the company and founder to attract attention from the people who matter most

4. Everything Else That Matters

* Fundraising prep and investor materials

* Competitive research and market intelligence

* Special projects that don't fit neatly into other functions but materially move the company forward

* The candidate is deeply, genuinely AI-native. Not "uses ChatGPT." They have set up their own OpenClaw instance. They've built multiple real applications with Claude Code. They use AI agents to extend their own capabilities daily and instinctively reach for automation before headcount. They can show what they've built.

* The candidate has high agency. When they see a problem, they solve it. They move forward without perfect information. They favor action and iteration over endless planning and they drive everything to a high bar of quality.

* The candidate thinks in systems. They don't just execute tasks. They build the infrastructure so tasks don't need to be executed manually again. They see leverage everywhere.

* The candidate is a great prioritizer. Whether it's people, time, or tools, they think carefully about where resources create the most impact and they're ruthless about cutting what doesn't.

* The candidate has low ego and high standards. They care more about impact than credit. They'll do unglamorous work if it moves the company forward. They're intellectually honest about what they know and don't know.

What You Bring

Experience (5-7+ years):

* Consulting, growth-stage startup, chief of staff, operations, or founding experience

* Track record of building AI-powered systems and workflows in a professional context

* Exposure to technical recruiting or engineering organizations

* Experience at Seed to Series B vc-backed startups

Must-Haves (the company will ask the candidate to show them):

* The candidate has set up and run an OpenClaw instance. They will be asked to show what they built.

* The candidate has built real applications with Claude Code

* The candidate actively uses agentic workflows to extend their own productivity

* The candidate has a point of view on where AI tooling is heading and how to stay ahead of it
