Business Risk Unit Analyst – BSISA Geneva
Country: Switzerland
Responsibilities:
Support the Business Risk Unit team of Banco Santander International S.A. in the daily business as usual as well as prioritize the KYC&AML periodic reviews for Low & Medium risk accounts. The main duties are to manage the opening of new accounts; this includes analysis and gathering of all pertinent information needed to assess the risk of a new client to meet company and regulatory guidelines. You will be giving support on service tasks in a well-organized and timely way, learning about the needs and requirement in opening new accounts while meeting company and regulatory guidelines. You will be supporting the unit with the following tasks:
• Analysis of documents related to openings as well as changes in the circumstances of accounts, both natural and legal persons (companies, foundations, trusts etc.).
• Ensure that due diligence rules (CDB) and tax requirements (FATCA, CRS) are met.
• Check whether the purpose of the account and the business relationship are clearly indicated and documented in the KYC.
• Analysis and completion of KYC&AML periodic reviews for Low and Medium risk accounts.
• Work close with the front to ensure Bank's business policy and internal directives are follow in accordance with the requirements.
• Assist the unit with different ongoing projects.
Profile
• Formal Academic Education: i.e. Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in financial and banking industry in the following fields: opening / changing circumstances of accounts.
• Sensitivity to the risks inherent in the function.
• Strong technical knowledge in Banking, Regulatory, Legal, Compliance and Onboarding.
• Software: good use of Office tools.
• Good planning and organizational skills/problem-solving approach.
• Dynamic, pro-active, and capable of completing tasks in an independent manner.
• Adaptable, personable team player with “can-do” attitude and great interpersonal skills.
• Teamwork and team spirit focused.
• Eager to learn.
Languages
• Languages: Fluent in Spanish and English (written and spoken). French and Portuguese will be highly valued.
Requirements
• Eligible to work in Switzerland.
