ABOUT ADVANCED ANALYTICS OFFICE (AAO) and BIG DATA PLATFORM (BDP)

AAO is missioned with accelerating Analytics solutions at scale across the Enterprise to rapidly capture business value. These solutions target key business metrics, such as, reducing manufacturing cost, improve capital efficiency, reduce time-to market to develop new products, improve operational efficiency, and improve customer experience. These solutions are built using cutting edge Industrial 4.0 technologies and are delivered through a platform approach to enable rapid scaling. The solutions span AI/ML for improving manufacturing yield, quality, equipment uptime, and adaptive testing, Operations Research for capacity and scheduling optimization, Digital Twin for inventory and logistics optimization, and Product Telematics for managing customer fleet management solutions.

Big data platform, BDP team provides self-service data and application platforms enabling rapid scaling of services to make ever increasing business impact. You will have the opportunity to partner in making remarkable things happen across WDT’s more than dozen factories across the globe, global product development teams, customer solutions, and supporting operations like Finance, supply chain, Procurement, Sales etc

As a Senior Business Analyst/Analytics Business Partner, you will play a pivotal role in transforming business processes through data-driven decision-making, automation, and advanced analytics. You will work cross-functionally to identify pain points, assess opportunities, and collaborate with technical teams to develop and implement impactful solutions.This is an Individual Contributor position based in Bengaluru.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Engage with business leaders across Product Engineering, Sales, Finance, and Supply Chain to understand challenges and analytics needs.
• Facilitate workshops to map out bottlenecks and identify opportunities for automation and advanced analytics.
• Prepare solution blueprint or conceptual analytics solution by identifying the right mix of technology (Classical AI/ML, GenAI, Operations Research, Digital Twin, Big Data Analytics etc.)
• Prioritize initiatives based on business value, return on investment (ROI), and feasibility.
• Translate business needs into technical specifications for Data & Analytics teams.
• Coordinate solution development, ensuring effective collaboration between business stakeholders and technical teams.
• Communicate insights and solutions through presentations and reports for executive stakeholders.

Required:

• Education: MBA in Business Analytics or a related field. Alternatively, Master of Science in Data Science, AI/ML with some technical accumen.
• Experience: 8+ years as a Business Analyst, preferably in consulting or supporting business functions within the technology sector. 12+ years in Analytics function.
• Business Acumen: Ability to assess business value, articulate ROI, and prioritize initiatives effectively.
• Business Process Expertise: Experience in value stream and process mapping for workflows such as Design to Build, Plan to Fulfill, Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Record to Report, etc.
• Enterprise Data Knowledge: Understanding of Enterprise Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, Master Data Management (MDM), and data governance principles.
• Technical Awareness: Familiarity with data analytics, predictive modeling, and data platforms to bridge the gap between business and technical teams.
• Communication & Influence: Ability to translate complex concepts into clear business value and engage with executives and technical teams.
• Problem-Solving Mindset: Proven ability to identify challenges and drive actionable solutions.

Preferences:

• Solved problems by applying Analytics in the field of Product Engineering - Firmware Engineering, ASIC, SoC etc.
• Prior implementation experience of AI/GenAI projects, first-of-a-kind product development and understands the technology concepts well.
• High-Tech / Semiconductor Industry experience
