Responsibilities:
Reporting into the CTO, the Technical Solutions Architect will be engaged in detailed in-depth technology assessments to recommend and validate technology and architecture are the appropriate solutions for our clients.
Translates buisness domain roadmap into a technology roadmap that is in alignment with the broader enterprise data architecture roadmap
Is the subject matter expert for the technology used in the domain to address technology integration or migration and infrastructure framework related questions
Work with internal and customer resources to understand emerging technologies, technical roadmaps, and how it applies to the customer environment
Partner with internal and client resources to provide technical direction during project initiation
Guides the engagement and Hadoop engineering team on the implementation of architecture related strategies, concepts and tools
Partners with the Technical Project Management team to identify technical skills and training required to support new technologies
Develop solution alternatives to meet business needs and considers the costs and risks for any trade-off decision
Requirements:
7+ years experience in Big Data and Professional Services or related field
Demonstrated technical leadership
Extensive technical and architectural leadership experience in the design and development of distributed databases working across platforms and massive amounts of data sets
10 years of development experience integrating distributed technology platforms
MSCS
