Your Impact

You’ll be part of the Exploration cross-functional team, responsible for Search and Recommendation, where you’ll work on core discovery experiences that help users find the right items at the right time.

As part of  a tight-knit team of engineers from Serbia, Switzerland, and France, you’ll contribute to shaping our marketplace by designing and delivering robust, scalable solutions that continuously improve how people explore, buy, and sell second-hand items.

🛠️Our Tech Stack

💻 Backend: micro-services in Java and Go

☁ Infrastructure: Kubernetes, Google Cloud, Solr, PostgreSQL, BigTable, Redis.

📡 Event-Driven Architecture: Kafka, Apache Beam

 

What You’ll Do

🔹Architect, build, and optimize high-performance APIs and backend services primarily in Java

🔹Own and enhance system resilience, scalability, and robustness

🔹Code, ship, and iterate —producing clean, maintainable, well-documented code

🔹Work closely with web and mobile engineers, as well as product managers, to craft seamless user experiences

🔹 Mentor & grow —help level up fellow engineers and contribute to our strong engineering culture

Your responsibilities will evolve as we grow.

What will you bring to the ride? 🚀

• 4+ years of experience building scalable, high-performance systems

• Hands-on experience with distributed systems and messaging solutions

• Strong foundations in computer science (data structures, algorithms, mathematics)

• Practical knowledge of cloud services (ideally Google Cloud)

• Familiarity with automated testing and CI/CD pipelines

• Fluency in English, to collaborate effortlessly with technical and non-technical colleagues

• Curious & Adaptable, you love learning and picking up new technologies

Nice to have:

• Experience building backend systems in Java using Spring Boot

• Knowledge of Solr or other search engines

• Experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD)

• Familiarity with Kubernetes and containers

Recruitment Process 📆 

For this job position, you need to be located in France (Sophia-Antipolis near Nice) and have a valid work permit.
