Position Overview:

We are seeking a Backend Engineer (Automation) with a strong command of problem-solving, data structures, and algorithms. As part of our automation team, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing automation scripts using Clojure to streamline processes across our platform. You will collaborate closely with our Implementation and Engineering teams to ensure top-notch code quality, performance, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Write and Maintain Automation Scripts: Develop efficient and scalable automation scripts in Clojure to automate tasks on the Unifize platform.
• Optimize and Troubleshoot: Use your expertise to identify and troubleshoot issues that arise, ensuring high uptime and minimal disruption to workflows.
• Own Tasks End-to-End: Take full ownership of assigned tasks, ensuring they are completed on time and to the highest standard.
• Create & Document Use-Cases: Develop standardized use-cases and document best practices for automation scripts and workflows.
• Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with the Implementation team and engineering to ensure all processes align with our goals for continuous improvement.
• Work in a Fast-Paced Environment: Contribute positively to a dynamic environment where adaptability, quick thinking, and high productivity are essential.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong Knowledge of Data Structures & Algorithms: You have a solid grasp of computer science fundamentals and know how to apply them to solve real-world problems.
• Proficient in Object Oriented Programming
• Problem-Solving Mindset: Ability to break down complex problems, debug effectively, and implement practical solutions.
• Experience with APIs and Database Queries: Deep understanding of working with APIs and writing efficient database queries to retrieve and manipulate data.
• Self-Management: Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks effectively, and deliver high-quality results.
• Strong Communication Skills: Capable of articulating ideas clearly and effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
