Azure Administrator

We are seeking a skilled Azure Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize our cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Azure services, virtual networking, security management, and automation. The role involves deploying, configuring, and monitoring Azure resources while ensuring high availability, security, and compliance with industry standards.

Requirements:
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Deploy, configure, and manage Azure services such as Virtual Machines, Azure Active Directory, Storage Accounts, and Virtual Networks.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize cloud resources for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Implement and manage identity and access controls, ensuring compliance with security policies.
• Configure and manage Azure Security tools such as Azure Security Center, Defender for Cloud, and Sentinel.
• Automate routine administrative tasks using PowerShell, ARM templates, or Terraform.
• Maintain and manage backups, disaster recovery plans, and business continuity strategies.
• Manage Azure governance policies, including role-based access control (RBAC) and resource tagging.
• Ensure proper network configurations, including VPNs, ExpressRoute, NSGs, and Azure Firewall.
• Support hybrid cloud integration, including on-premises connectivity and Active Directory synchronization.
• Stay up-to-date with Azure updates, best practices, and new service offerings.
• Provide technical guidance and support to development and operations teams.
• Prepare documentation, reports, and training materials for internal teams.

CORE COMPETENCIES:

• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Scripting skills using PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Bicep.
• Familiarity with multi-cloud environments (AWS, GCP) is a plus.
• AWS experience is a plus.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) certification preferred.
• Strong expertise in Azure Portal, PowerShell, CLI, and ARM templates.
• Experience with Azure networking, including VNets, Load Balancers, NSGs, and hybrid cloud solutions.
• Familiarity with Azure security best practices, compliance, and identity management.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring tools like Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Experience:

• 2+ years of experience in managing Azure cloud environments.
