AVP Quant Prime Services (QPS) Client Service, Hong Kong
Role Overview:
As an AVP in Quant Prime Services (QPS) Client Service, you will be responsible for servicing low latency equity execution clients, primarily large Hedge Funds running quantitative trading strategies. The APAC QPS team is recognized as the market leader in Direct Market Access (DMA) execution. The main objective of this role is to act as the prompt and knowledgeable single point of contact for key clients, ensuring ownership of the overall client experience.

Hybrid Working:
Barclays offers a hybrid working model, combining onsite collaboration with remote work. Employees are required to work onsite for a minimum of two fixed ‘anchor’ days per week, as determined by the business area. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct start-of-day trading system readiness checks.
- Monitor intra-day order flow and handle exceptions.
- Communicate with clients regarding trading-related issues and equity market rules, microstructures, and regulations in Asia.
- Manage incidents related to trading systems and client services.
- Configure trading systems, including account and limit setup.
- Respond to various inquiries from external parties (clients, exchanges, regulators) and internal stakeholders (Compliance, Trade Surveillance, Operations).
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Excellent understanding of low latency technologies, including software, hardware, and infrastructure design.
- Working knowledge of FIX Protocol.
- Ability to automate tasks using technology.
- Comfortable handling large data sets.
Desirable Skills:
- Prior experience working in Electronic Trading within an Investment Firm, Exchange, or Service Provider.
- Strong data analysis skills, including advanced Excel/VBA, database management, and SQL.
- Experience in low latency system development or support.
- Previous experience in equity business across Front Office, Middle Office, or Back Office.
- Fluency in Korean.
