The Automation Tester is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and accessibility of digital solutions by designing and executing robust test strategies, supporting automation practices, and contributing to high-quality software delivery within agile teams.

This is a 12 month contract role.

Requirements:
What you'll do:

• Develop and manage test strategies, test plans, and test cases using Azure DevOps and related tools.

• Write, review, and execute manual and automated test cases for web-based applications.
• Analyse requirements, user stories, and specifications to design effective testing coverage.
• Identify, log, and track defects using Azure DevOps or departmental systems.
• Support and contribute to the implementation of test automation frameworks and practices.
• Conduct accessibility testing to ensure compliance with WCAG standards.
• Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and engage with business stakeholders throughout testing cycles.
• Collaborate within cross-functional agile teams including developers, analysts, and product owners.
• Contribute to test reporting, documentation, and continuous improvement of testing processes.
• Operate effectively in fast-paced, distributed team environments.

What you'll bring:

• Strong experience in automation and system testing within web-based application environments.
• Proven ability to design, write, review, and execute detailed test plans and test cases.
• Experience working with Azure DevOps for test management, defect tracking, and execution.
• Strong understanding of agile testing practices and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards and experience testing for compliance.
• Experience supporting or leading UAT activities with business stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, agile, and distributed team environments.
• Experience testing Microsoft and Azure-based applications (desirable).
