Automation / n8n Solution Engineer (m/f/d)

 

As an n8n Solution Engineer, you will join our Intelligent Automation team and become part of SIXT's new global initiative to build and scale our n8n self-service and AI automation platform. Our ambition is to evolve into an AI-enabled organization, where intelligent automations and AI services are seamlessly embedded into everyday work. Your mission is to enable colleagues worldwide to design their own robust, secure and compliant workflows, helping the organization work smarter, faster and more innovatively. By closely collaborating with business, engineering and platform teams, you will help shape how we use n8n and AI, establish best practices and support the global rollout of our automation capabilities. 

YOUR ROLE AT SIXT

• You support business teams in designing, implementing and maintaining scalable and robust n8n workflows that automate and optimize business processes, including AI-powered use cases 
• You prepare and run n8n workshops such as introductions, hands-on trainings, use case sessions and internal hackathons to enable self-service automation at scale 
• You build and nurture an internal n8n community by sharing best practices, creating enablement materials and supporting AI / n8n champions across the organization 
• You independently design, develop and implement n8n workflows for selected high-value use cases, driving their end-to-end delivery together with the respective stakeholders 
• You translate business needs into technical and infrastructural requirements and work with engineering and platform teams to further develop the global n8n self-service and AI automation platform 
• You act as the internal face of n8n, organizing “roadshows”, answering FAQs and handling support requests related to n8n, AI automation, integrations and basic troubleshooting 

YOUR SKILLS MATTER

• (AI) Automation Tools You have initial experience with low-code/no-code automation or integration platforms such as n8n, Zapier, UiPath or similar and understand how to design and orchestrate end-to-end workflows 
• Technical Skills You have a good understanding of JavaScript, APIs, webhooks and data flows and are comfortable working with data structures, error handling and integrations 
• Communication You are a clear, engaging communicator who can translate between business and tech, lead trainings and workshops, and explain automation and AI topics in an accessible and inspiring way 
• Passion You are enthusiastic about automation, AI and enabling colleagues, and you enjoy turning manual processes into smart, reusable workflows that can scale across the organization 
• Self-Starter & Result-Orientation You are curious, structured and hands-on, take ownership of your workflows and enablement activities, and proactively drive them from idea to measurable impact across the organization
