About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Automation/E&I /E&I Engineer to design, implement, and maintain electrical and instrumentation systems, as well as automation solutions that enhance operational efficiency, safety, and reliability. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with PLCs, SCADA systems, and industrial instrumentation in a fast-paced production environment.
What You'll Do
• Design, install, and maintain electrical and instrumentation systems for industrial equipment and processes.
• Design, develop, testing and implementation automation systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA platforms.
• Understand process automation.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and industry regulations.
• Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions for electrical and control system failures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize process control and automation strategies.
• Manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs for E&I assets and projects
• Support commissioning and startup of new equipment and automation projects.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including wiring diagrams, loop sheets, and control logic.
About You
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Instrumentation, Automation, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in industrial E&I and automation engineering.
• Proficiency in DCS & PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley), HMI development, and SCADA systems.
• Strong understanding of industrial sensors, actuators, VFDs, and control loops.
• Familiarity with NEC, ISA, and other relevant standards.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience in hazardous area classification and intrinsic safety.
• Project management and budgeting experience.
• Ability to train and mentor technicians and junior engineers.
